Gackt is good english speaker, but singing his original japanese songs in english is kinda hard, because english like language is slow and can't be sang very fast and know what song is about.

I'll be honest. I had this on my play list while playing WoW and I couldn't understand a word of what he was saying except for "Remembering" and "Save your smile" (even though I thought he was saying save a spot for me XD. I thought this whole time he was just being trendy and throwing in a few English phases.

Singing another language and speaking it are very different. From what I've actually seen of his english interviews he actually speaks english fairly well.

So, as I guess, he sings, using english words, but with a japanese intonation. Because the japanese intonation helps him to really put his soul in the performance and do it to the fullest. That's what caused his so called accent. I was highly impressed with this video, with such a sincere, deep performance! The power of this music is impossible to resist, isn't it?

I agree with tanyasokolova. It is amazing how he has been able to translate from his native language to English. There are many English speaking people who make grammatical errors everyday without even realizing it. I think Gackt is doing a great job and is surely improving his English every day.

Some of you say here, his english isn't perfect. Actually it sounds much better when he's speaking. What confused you is the intonation, wrong stress marks, such as wondEring instead of wOndering etc... But I suppose to guess it's due to adjusting the same music piece to different languages and these languages to the same music piece with its timing and rythm.

Not fair to judge his English is not good. For me his english prononciation is pretty good compare with average japanese singers. And you can' avoid them to not put their mother language's accent when they speak other language.

Except you are born in the country where use English is the main language.

Gackt is pretty good in English and Mandarin even French. I am half Thai-chinese but I can't speak even a little chinese compare with him.
