when i free transform, and make it to the shape of my picture it goes all pixaly even though the texture is the same size or as big as my photo? like when i paste it onto my picture the actual texture goes into a really small picure?

After you paste in your image, make sure you are on that level, then press ctrl-t to transform. Then you can drag the corners of the image to make it bigger and cover the whole picture.

Hi Jessica. Awesome tutorial. I am modeling a bird and have a template.

1. How do i fade an image into transparency? (alpha textures) Supposing I want to make a feather that appears to blend, into the background without using the blur tool. I want want a fade effect.

2. How can I take samples of a texture, and use that sample like a brush to pain over my template? (For the bird)
