  • Anyone who would like to see recently rediscovered footage of Down n Outz guitarist, Paul Guerin, in action with his former band, Red Dogs, do a search for 'Red Dogs Working Late' (to see the video) or 'Red Dogs Super Channel' (to see live tracks and a wee interview with Paul and the vocalist, Mickey).

  • Joe Elliott lovers u will luv this video the entire tribute down n outz is Awsome

    Sookie821lee

  • I like this cover. I think def leppard's next album will be good because I also liked mirrorball.

  • @lynchmobking ... seriously, lol at the peeps who think this is joe elliott/def lepp original material.. morons

  • Joe is even using Ian's swastika guitar. Ian got that whilst touring the States with Mott in the seventies.

  • @monkeeshead it's not a swastika. it's an iron cross. there is a big, huge difference.

  • @monkeeshead It wasn't a swastika - it was an iron cross. Bit of a difference.

  • This is awesome. If you don't like, then I guess you are not a student of british rock...

  • For everyone who has not done their homework.....They are a cover/tribute band of Mott the Hoople and those related. This is their cover of the Ian Hunter song. So the whole album is tribute of the Mott the Hoople Reunion.

  • Jó, klasika je klasika. Joe je famózní a kapela nemá chybu :-) Love You

  • @JBL8863, This is trade of a true musician and history in the making, maybe someday you learn to appreciate music in its different forms. There is no such thing as poppy, crappy or what ever music, there is just different styles for different tastes.

  • Sorry but this isn't cuttin it with me...Way too poppy from a guy that made it big 27 years ago playing much heavier tunes from High & Dry and Pyromania...

I fully understand the tone changing in Def Leppard to accomidate what happen to Rick but for God's sake if your going to do something else without the other members PLEASE PLEASE do something heavier...this is nothing more than poppy crap!

Your much better than this! Walk away in shame for making this crappy song Joe...

  • @JBL8863 Dude snap out of it and wake up!

  • now they need to make a music video for "Undefeated" (for those of you who dont know, thats Def Leppard's newest song)

  • @krisaf778 I saw them perform Undefeated at the concert in Virginia Beach, VA (USA) last weekend. It was FANTASTIC!

  • @bluedragon94 aww sweet. i hopefully will see them this summer.

  • Six people can't hear us talking about the Overnight Angels.

  • am going to the royal albert hall tomorrow to catch them

  • woo seing them with paul rodgers on thursday XD

  • LOL @brendan007... Village people!!

Great song, thanks for posting. didn't get any airplay in Oz.

  • LOL @brendan007... Village people!!

  • @joeelliott1994 Be glad he'd got time for all of us!

  • @joeelliott1994 Great - what's your problem?

  • Still coming down from the awesome Holmfirth gig. Met the great man himself - our one moment in time with Joe Elliott! Pinch us, we're dreamin'! Could never have imagined he would have been so nice to us. Thankyou Joe - luv u man!

  • is idol joe

  • Great song, really catchy! I had the pleasure of being their roadie last summer @ High Voltage Festival in London, superb band! They are the nicest guys u cud meet, n Joe, well, Joe is just a legend who has got time for anybody, a great amongst rock n roll legends!!! Guy is wearing the groovy Velvet Revolver style hat, he is cool enough to carry the look off, a dude!

Thanks for that guys, hope to see u all soon n Joe on tour this yr - KEIRON, WHERE'S ME TICKETS BE JESUS LOL??? X

  • Funky bass line, love it.

  • Woo-hoo! Only 2 days to Holmfirth! Summer wine (and song) a-hoy!

  • off to see joe in holmfirth next week hope its rocking

  • Joe kinda looks like ozzy

  • Ian Hunters maltase cross guitar- fantastic

Im no fan of Def Leopard but I do love Joes radio show as I would say he & me have a very similar record collection & taste-including this song

  • Just when I was about togive up on anything from this century! There is life in rock after 50, Joe. Good song and video. On my playlist

  • I like it........this may be a good back up plan for Joe. hopefully not.

  • Love this song

  • kinda cheezy

  • alright what guitar does Joe have

  • this needs to be on itunes. id buy it

  • Reply - Re: batmanjwo (Part 2)

Leppard can't go into a searing 3 minute saxophone solo. Leppard can't do a 20 minute prog-rock romp-out. Leppard can't stretch musically as people are always going to demand accessible Americanised melody-rock albums which guarantee air-play.

Anyway... 'secret' warm-up gig. Who's going? Bring the Summer. Bring the Wine. Don't be Last.

  • Reply - Re: batmanjwo (Part 1)

I'm afraid that's the whole point of being in a band. 'Compromise' being the bye-word. Are Def Leppard predictable? Of course. BUT they do what they can within the confines of that particular group. They released a stunning album years ago called SLANG which totally broke away from their expected radio-friendly format. It was excellent - and no bugger bought it (except me!). It's the first Leppard album I reach for off the shelf.

  • @2abob I also bought it! By far their best album. Its depressing how narrowminded "fans" can be. Everyone wants to grow but no one's idols are allowed to.

  • joe's voice stills sounds good

  • good song, great vocals, long live def leppard and joe elliot

  • Whether Def Leppard or DNO, give me more Joe Elliott:) Love this:)

  • More I listen to this, the more I like it

  • don't forget to hit the like button...=)...kool video..

  • This vid is great!!! The girl is hot, and I am so lucky she is my wife!! Anne-Marie Emberton you rock!!!

  • @gianniforest1976 Nigel? Lucky i read the comments on here. I need to send you the photos of Anne Marie I took on the shoot. I'm Jim Wraith on facebook. If you can find me we can sort it out!

  • Down 'N' Outz is favorite tribute band ever!!!! I love u Joe Elliott!!!! Ur the hottest man alive!!!! :) :)

  • Doesnt matter how you slice it....Joe Elliot - Down n Outz, Def Leppard, ect... ROCKS AND WE WILL NEVER EVER STOP LISTENING TO THEIR SOUND

  • It is this attitude that I wish Def Leppard would bring to the table for their albums. Joe Elliott recorded an album that he wanted to record. There were no concerns about hits. Man Raze was same thing with Phil Collen. Vivian Campbell recorded a blues cd. All of it was "Hey I want to do this." As much as I love Def Leppard, their music has become almost like a formula. Insert three parts harmony here, 30 second solo here, a dash or two of commerical rock. I'd love to hear something like Wasted.

  • no DEF LEPPARD ARE TAKKING A YEAR OUT !, THE DOWN N OUTZ ARE ONE OF JOES SIDE PROJECTS THE LEPPS ARE BACK THIS YEAR THEY ARE WRITTING NEW STUFF AS WE SPEEK AND SHOULD BE TOURING AROUND ABOUT JUNE SO I HEAR !!! YAY CANT WAIT

  • DOES THAT MEAN DEF LEPPARD IS OVER??

  • Def Leppard for me has been a "gateway drug" for me... By following their influences I have "discovered" many great bands & musicians (Ian Hunter, Mott The Hoople, T-Rex, David Bowie, Sweet, Thin Lizzy, etc.) that I might never had even heard of if I had not traced the steps of of Def Leppard's musical youth. And the Down N' Outz disc is another great muisical education for people of all ages. It Rocks.

  • @joshuaaewallen ~dude I couldnt agree MORE.....for me,I personally dug alot deeper into Queens catalog and now prefer them more......and you are dead on with Mott!.....duno if I ever woulda gave them a 2nd look had it not been for Joe tootin theyre horn during my youth......Mott now ranks just around my top 10 fave bands EVER!(lots to be said for this "unsung" band).......Montrose,Lizzy,T-Rex,etc.etc......Im a BIG FAN of the YEAH Album too......would like to see a Part 2 for that!

  • Got my cd in the mail, and love all the songs yay!!

  • The success only paves the way for the new Def Lep...

  • love this video Joe's voice is just so amazing

i know it's a day late but R.I.P Steve twenty years gone

can't wait for the new Def Leppard album coming out this year

  • I didn't expect much from this but I actually liked it.

I had to sit through "I throw my hair back" so I'm not up on what's in these days but I'll go willingly into the non-mainstream in order to never hear that again.

This reminded of my brothers 70's albums I used to borrow. Like Sweet or something.

  • I'd like to think that the success of the Down N Outz project may change the way Hunter himself evaluates the 'Overnight Angels' album. Would be marvellous to see him plant material from that album into his present days shows. For anyone unfamiliar with Mott or Ian Hunter, then 'My Regenaration' is an exellent education.

  • cool video. i like when they show the whole band together playing

  • i bought this cd the week it came out! it's awesome!! lookin' forward to Def Leppard's new live album! (AND new songs!!)

  • This song kind of blows!

  • great video ! Joe still roxxxxx

  • rill - great to see a proper drummer at last!!

How about some more drum solos?

  • Brill - great to see a proper drummer at last!!

How about some more drum solos?

  • Great re-make of the Ian Hunter classic from `77. Saw the D&O at Hammersmith in 2009 and looking forward to seeing them again in April with Paul Rodgers. Get the CD, all tracks could be in the singles charts.

  • on the def leppard website it says Joe dedicated it to Steve Clark awsome

  • I have owned this cd since it came out and play it everyday. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Joe is awesome. The rest of the guys are pretty good too *v*. Justin Beiber and all your girly mates take note this is real music and those things the guys are holding are what we call instruments. LUV YA JOE!!!!!!!

  • I bought my cd off of ebay but instead of bidding I did the buy it now thing, so am looking foward to this cd :D

  • Super extremely awesome! I already put my bid in on ebay for this album! I love how Joe dedicated this video to Steve, being as it's the 20th year anniversary since his death.

  • Needs to stick wit Def Leppard lol

  • Love the beginning of the video, Joe sounds fantastic!! the song is soooo good,

love the guitar Joe is playing, this is one AWESOME video!!! perfect!!

  • Well, i wonder if this video is meant to be funny or not. But the pseudo-rockstar attitude of the drummer and guitarists are sort of funny. ;-)

Good guitar solo by the way, lots of feel! It changes from Phil Collens "wow, look how fast i am with those two strings! wwwwowowooauauueueueeueeueuoooooops sorry i came"

  • Fantastic stuff! Dare I say this coming from a huge Ian Hunter fan - this version rocks Ian!

  • Wow!

This is better than anything Leppard has releasd in 15 years or more.

  • Kool new version of the Maltese cross guitar ..the zemaitis...

  • Fantastic :) Very Impressed!

Looking forward to seeing the Down N Outz with Paul Rodgers and also Def Leppard on tour this year!

  • awesomeness!

  • R.I.P Steve Clark.

  • Glad to see my rock-n-roll hero pay homage to his. Everyone should buy this record it's fantastic. He's made everyone aware of Hunter, Ronson and Bowie. Can't wait for the live album and some new music.

  • What a great video, great song, great vibe :) Thank you Joe Elliott, Down N' Outz and Ian Hunter!

  • Love the song, love the album, and this is an awesome video, love it!!!

  • FAB!!! Hoping to see the Down'n'Outz next time you come to Glasgow!

  • I'm a HUGE Def Leppard fan, but it is quite sad that Elliot makes better music now with Down N' Outz than he does with Def Leppard now. I hope DL's new studio album will change my mind.

  • the years have been very kind to joe

  • Great Track! I heard it on the Radio & thought it was a new Def Leppard tune. I plan on buying the Down & Out CD when I get home. The Guitar is great.

  • not bad....

  • Great rockin' song!!!!

  • Nice music and great video guys! I just wish they'd play a few shows in the United States close to me. :D

  • A lot to say about this vid:

    1). Joe sounds great!!

2). Some of those other members look like they are from the Village People.

4). Love that guitar Joe has

5). Where can I get a pint of that D N O beer in America?

  • @FuzzyMohawkHat that is one hell of a bill!!!

  • @FuzzyMohawkHat

The entire disc rocks. Joe really hit this one outta the park. Rock on! I wish you could actually hear this kinda stuff on the radio in Minnesota!
