Ford Focus 1.8 Duratec petrol engine sound - K&N air filter

my focus 2.0 mk1 2000 with k&n filter has a better accelaration, sound and a little better top speed :) you can feel the horsepower better ^^

hi i got a 59 plate zetec sport 1.8 litre petrol and am thinking about getting a plane new filter (cone shape not flat) is fits in the same filter box !! is that what u did and will it make it sound more beastly thankyou !

@babeliak Thank you for being very honest. The paper filter is just as good for airflow as it has a much bigger surface area. K&N do NOT filter, so you shotblast the turbo and cause premature wear to the engine. I wouldn't use one. Out of everything, the only make to filter to 5 microns was a PIPERCROSS foam filter, it worked better than paper due to the design. They don't do anything for power, but clever marketing & sales is used on boy racers and they fall for it. It's a huger market.

is that a k & n intake filter or a regular k &n air filter?.. does it really make a difference if you put a k &n regular air filter. i have a 07 nissan altima and i want to upgrade to high flow air filter
