Mosaic improved things.

There was also bad things... everything was extremly slow, there was no such amount of informations like now (mostly basics about everything except computers), unstable connections...

You look at site design today--sure, a lot of sites have all the bells & whistles, and look really modern and that--but as far as content and even usability--they're crap!

My favorite sites these days when I'm surfing are the ones that have that simple old school warm feeling to them and have the content that I want.
