Tesla's problems didn't come from his funders (which was mainly Westinghouse) but from the publicity attacks placed by Edison to discredit Tesla, and by Marconi's theft of Tesla's technology. Were it not for those events, Teslas ideas would have paid for themselves many times over.

It does not take a conscious mind for deoxyribonucleic acid to replicate itself. Nothing in the universe requires consciousness except for consciousness itself.

If you are sleeping and roll off your bed, what was the deeper meaning of rolling off the bed? If the impact agitates some dust into a cloud did you consciously make that cloud of dust? If the dust settles in a pattern was it anything more than brownian fluidic particle interactions that made it?

I'm not looking for a supernatural explanation, as supernatural denotes intervention by a deity or anything outside the realm of natural law. I feel that our race has yet to fully comprehend natural law. Maybe thought is a natural law that allows creation?

Maybe once we are able to better "tap" into our brains full resources it will be the energy of our conscious though that also creates? Once we discover how to use this energy, it will represent the apotheosis of mankind.

What a choice line to describe about 90% of the authority controlling the decisions made for our research of alternative sources of energy, "Sometimes man's reach exceeds his grasp." Tesla was such a genius for the ages. Too bad he was funded by people with Robber Baron mentalities. All they could see were their short term immediate monetary returns rather than the Big Picture long range benefit to man as well as their bank accounts. Particle beam weaponry was built by N. Tesla's problems didn't come from his funders (which was mainly Westinghouse) but from the publicity attacks placed by Edison to discredit Tesla, and by Marconi's theft of Tesla's technology. Were it not for those events, Teslas ideas would have paid for themselves many times over.

I agree. And not just exploit, but leave him with nothing from it. The entire AC power grid runs on his technologies, yet the smear campaign Edison ran against him led to him receiving nothing for his work. I'd put him at the top of the list of modern people who gave us the most, and got the least in return. And if he'd have just gotten continued funding of his labs, not telling where we'd be now, he was so far ahead.

Tesla used in any fashion. In school, I heard about N. Bohr and M. Planck for their contribution to higher physics, but never about Tesla. There is no technology we use today that can't be traced directly or indirectly to N. Tesla. How could he be so obscure in the annals of technological history? A great man!

Thing is, he just wasn't big on publicity. I'm not going to dis' on Bohr or Planck, as they at least honestly did their contribution, and there are so few contributors that we should be grateful for all of them. But Tesla was amazing.

The bulb in the photo, in Twain's hand, looks very much like the one N. Tesla, D. Bowie, is holding in his hand. I have seen the same effect with a florescent bulb because the static charge excites the gases in the tube, but excite the tungsten filament with enough energy and it too will glow.

The clip at 0:54 shows incandescent light bulb, an Edison's patent, and a cable extending from it. Hollywood chooses to earn money by riding horses of patriotism, rather than showing technology the way it was. That part is stupid.

no, it does exist. they discovered it by accident during that whole philadelphia experiment back in the 40s. when they were trying out stealth technology using electro magnetic fields and instead of making it invisible to radar they actually made the whole ship dissapear and reappear in a different location a few moments later. crew members were all embedded in the ship, some died and some are in mental health institutes to this day because they lost their minds in the void. this led to montauk!
