  • I don´t think this playing is as clear as Horowitz´

  • soooooooooooooo fast :) so great :) I'm trying to learn this at the moment! It's quite hard in places!!!

  • Remarkable elegance and lyric qualities.

Yes...he does it in a slightly understated way ...but it still has so many dimensional components that I don't give a flying damn.

What a remarkable blend of luminescence bursting through opaque nebulosity.Fabulous turns of phrase in the most whimsical of manners with such an impromptu and individuated and timed articulation.

  • Perhaps what is most remarkable here is that he injects so much freedom and subjectivity in this without it seeming like it is so.

Very tricky...Perhaps derived from years of living freely amidst so much restraint silently impinging from every angle...

  • Highly intelligent and sensitive remarks, like the playing itself. After this lovely, poetic and exemplary performance, even Richter sounds studied, laboured and mannered. If Schumann's music doesn't have this apparently improvisatory quality, it can often seem less than inspired - or so it seems to me.
