As a time served plasterer i can honestly say that i've skimmed over more artexed ceilings than i care to mention, but if someone ever asked me to skim over a ceiling like that i'd walk out the room. OUTSTANDING!
@poodle559 Thank you poodle559 but as we all know, texturing ceiling styles are not every one's taste, but when done visually pleasing looks darn nice on ceilings. Thanks for your comment. Regards Dale
@soulessdelu Ok, here's the deal, why not do what my other satisfied customers did to learn how to do this, & get your own DVD/E-book drywall texturing art & effects course from my website diy-ceiling-wall-texture com Then you will lose no more nights of sleep lol. Thanks for commenting. Regards Dale
Many thanks for posting this. I only needed to do a small patch and did'nt have a clue and was going to spends hundreds calling in contractors. Saved me a packet. Thanks again.
@ofd5 Thank you for your comment, it does take a little practice to perfect though & that depends how passionate you are about drywall texture art & effects finishes, the DVD the book & the Combs are available from my web site. Regards Dale
@BlackCaScorpio Yes, so long as your ceiling or wall is sealed good to stop any porosity so the texture doesn't dry into the surface as your working it and that ceiling on the video took just under an hour for me to texture
@lpnwanabee Thank you for your comment, hope you enjoyed the vids & maybe have a few more ideas especially if you are a diy fan or a drywall texture practitioner. Regards Dale
@PndaStyle Thanks for your comment & also once done correctly not only is it pleasing to the eye but it's very therapeutic to learn too, many of my customers are now adding these amazing comb styles to their arsenal of texturing variety!
@bayview63 Hi bayview63 to read more about or to purchase combs go to my website & follow the link from there, there are two sets of 3 combs to choose from which can be shipped anywhere in the world
dis looks awesome man i do skip trowel my self usin a pan and a 12 inch knife i never tried dat one before maybe u cud give me some tips or pointers my email adress is aljejo11@yahoo.com thanx i appreciate it
@j0seruiz Hi thank you for your comments, to create the design you do need tools called 'texturing combs' & these are available directly from me, also, I have created a DVD & book for you to follow along which you can take a look at my website & for any tips just let me know what you want to know.
Very interesting and educational. Thank you. One thing tho... Oyster shells are really pretty ugly lookin' things. I believe you actually mean to use the term "Scallop" for your shell pattern.
@BackInTheGarden Hi you are absolutely right! I was only wondering the other night why did I call them 'oystershells' when they do look like scallops, thanks for your kind comment.
A leak is no problem as texture repair & pattern match-in is my speciality which is also covered in the downloadable guide: 'Nifty Trick's 'n' Tip's of a Professional Texture Practitioner'
Hey Ifuboi I used to have the same problem but have now devised a warming up procedure I teach my students before any ceiling work, problem solved lol, thanks for the comment. Dale
