good song and so true. Im enlisting in 3 weeks and i lost my best friend tj back in 06 he waas kia from an ied. And have another friend thats in the Marines that i have not heard from sents 07. Thanks to all vets.
talked to vet last week he was on a side gun of a huey (m60) the vietnam wall is stunning scary, well anyway 1 of the units in his battalion was a scico buturing his enemies etc after the war he couldnt settle down to civilian life so his family locked him n a mental instiute, sh1t 4 thankes the american government shud of provided him wth counciling
I, ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS STAND UP AND SALUTE. THIS IS AN AWSOME,SAD,AND YET TRUE SONG. I LOST A DEAR FRIEND THERE. HE WAS WITH THE 1st SOG. I WAS AT THE END OF THE CONFLICT, AND SAW LITTLE ACTION, BUT KINDA MADE UP FOR IT IN SOUTH AMERICA DURING THE CONTRA ERA. I AM SO PROUD OF ALL OV THE NAM VETS THAT SERVED AND SACRIFICED. YOU ARE ALL HEROS IN MY BOOKS. GOD BLESS.
cloie43 "will we or can we ever learn a damn thing..i wonder" i think we have learned. after world war one we ignored what was going on in the world and you know what happend? dictators came to power and the was another world war. if we ignore what is going on in other countrys it will happen again.
Brought back extreme memories of my friend Donald. I returned from Viet Nam in May 1968 (11th Armored Cav); in October 1968 picked up morning paper to see that by life long friend Donald had been killed in Viet Nam. Why him? Why not me? To this day, I still mourn for him.
Way to go my friend. A fine paraphrase of the many feelings Vet's have. Too bad it's happening all over again. Nothing changes if nothing changes! Stay in there my brother, ah!
very good

Memorial Day is not about picnics, the Indy 500. It's about the thousands of Dannys out there. God grant them and their families peace

55,000 killed.
the youngest(American soldier) was 15.
15 sets of brothers were killed.
997 were killed thier first day, 1448 on thier last.
more than 17,000 were married.
my best friend's dad and my grandpa were there and you can see it in their eyes. may we never forget what these men have done.
