I discovered these guys in 2003 and I have bought all their albums since then (the first one came out in 96'). I just like the way they write the lyrics and the way the lay down the melody lines which go along with lyrics so well. Great song writing! No surprise, these guys wrote quite a bit of commercial songs you might have heard radio or TV. Very underrated band.

The interesting thing about this song is that the guy in the lyrics is a complete tool.

Think about it: His date picks HIM up in HER car and takes him out for drinks, whereupon he promptly gets wasted and starts an unnecessary fight, and she has to bail his ass out of jail.

This girl is taking care of him like he's a little boy. What does she see in him?
