I think most people who conform to the norms of society, do so in fear of alienation and oppresion. Therefore, "weird" isn't always a good thing because it can prevent people from creating friendly interaction and relationships with society, which can lead people to crime, suicide, and poverty. Although, being "weird" is important in order to maintain indivualism and inspire social movements, a certain degree of conformity is necessary for a society to properly function and maintain order.
For most people this would be scary thought. They ask themselves "have I been living a lie my entire life?" I think you just need to be open minded and figure out who you realy are, but most importantly chose for yourself.

Your point about different social groups is really important, like how a group of girls who read Twilight etc won't think that each other is weird. That's the reason the internet can be such hell at times, especially forums and even places like Youtube, where us people who comment on videos a lot are mashed up against people with radically different opinions and it causes so much unneccesary conflict. This has really bothered me lately.

this makes a lot of sense. People get so used to conforming to what's 'normal' like mainstream music and etc, that when they view or find something creative their first thought is 'this is weird' or 'what drugs were you on' when in reality they are the oddballs for not being open minded and letting go of their ego, and not realizing that creativity doesnt have to come from drugs. When people call you/your art weird, take it as a compliment cause it means that you are not like them and unique!

its easy to see comfort, the eyes are brighter, the opposite always seems to be dead eyes, thats common and a drift takes over and makes the eyes look zombified, if 1 is in a drift awaken them safely with a count from 3 to 1 and whisper awake to them :) i wanna feel conneced when awakened

I'm weird. I know that, all my friends tell me and agree. I'm just trying to have fun and live my life, but sometimes I say things that I think are pretty normal but turn out to be really weird. I always screw things up with someone like that. (it doesn't happen often, but it def. does happen). I've thought of what you say, and I agree. Knowing that I'm weird and can't control it gets me depressed because of how people treat me. They don't listen b/c i talk too much (i cant help it)

Weird is just another word for lesser known, different or not currently accepted. When a weird idea becomes accepted it becomes normal.When everyone agrees with what's normal, for me that's fantastically weird. However what's normal and what's weird won't reveal what's true or untrue. It can be difficult to know precisely what truth is but if absolutely all of us were sincerely focused on finding what is in fact true, a lot of us would end up normal. we lie since normal eventually becomes boring

Your point about different social groups is really important, like how a group of girls who read Twilight etc won't think that each other is weird. That's the reason the internet can be such hell at times, especially forums and even places like Youtube, where us people who comment on videos a lot are mashed up against people with radically different opinions and it causes so much unneccesary conflict.
