Won the Apple Blossom 2 years in succession, beating a champion older mare in Ginger Punch in that initial running, in only her fourth career start. She just beats them all, save one. More than that, she races them off their feet and into R&R. St. Trinians has been on the sidelines since being defeated. I just don't understand the negativity. Sour grapes?
I would have loved to see these two race. Ah well, they both are going down in the history books. Rachel Alexandra for winning the Preakness, very impressive filly and Zenyatta for pretty much being the best filly of all time. Winning 19 of 20 races is beyond impressive. So sad she got beat by a nose in the Classic :(. Zenyatta, the queen of racing, hands down.
If she wins the classic again, against another weak field, she will be in the top 10 Fillies and Mares, and would sneak into the top 50 just because of the 2 Classics in name, not in strength of form.
You better hope she wins or she will forever be known as the most overrated horse of all time.

Zenyatta will not be able to catch up if she falls too far behind. Remember, these are fresh, trained, and well rested horses that are familiar with the track, unlike what she faced in the BC where they let her fall very far behind.
Zenyatta is a beautiful and talented mare that deserved HOY in 2008 instead of Curlin.
Rachel Alexandra deserved HOY in 2009. She will have to prove herself again if she wants it this year.
