What a discovery this woman - Kari - is. The similarities to Gaelic folk singing are self-evident - afterall they're practically connected! to each other (apart from a thin strip of ocean!). So she slots straight into our common Celtic roots - but with a voice to die for...Oh dear - I'v e gone all wobbly again. Must have a lie down!

that one thing. But limiting the pagan religion to "wicca" or "old faith" is

to the least narrow minded.  If you want to feel insulted, thats a rather pesonal problem. its a differentiator, that is used as in spite of a more precise term.

There is no single "the old faith" and "wicca" is a contested term. What about druids? Inka and Native Americans? Africans? Haitians? ... go figure.

@zoolkhan the nordic gods are the asatru's speciality. Very close to the celtics, normans, and teutons..... most of them feel insulted if youd call them wikka

which is widely associated with little superficial emo girls lighting black candles...

"pagan" doesnt have this negative associations. At least not here in the hemisphere

where i live in.

@zoolkhan In this country (UK) and USA Wicca is a new religion (neo-pagan) drawing on many older traditions, being revived by Gerald Gardner in the 1930's. There are many variants who seldom agree with each other. The use of the 'generic' terms Pagan, Neo-Pagan or Wiccan doesn't really tell you a lot!

@sidarist I confess that I don´t like the word pagan,but they say it originally just meant " from the country",while " heathen ",which I prefer for its delicious (anglo-saxon)germanic origin ,was the one used as an insult by western christians.I think we all who follow the old shamanic traditions of all countries should not fight amongst ourselves for these trifles,some people use warlock for male witches but I´ve heard it meant "oathbreaker", a blatant insult to any "witch" !

Actually, I believe that the most of them were taken in Iceland. The ones with the horses most definitely are, and I think that Aurora Borealis can be seen in Iceland, not sure about Norway :) But they are marvellous, aren't they?
