I had good friends from High School in Georgia that were friends with R.E.M. in Athens before they really hit it big. I saw R.E.M. in a small club in Athens and then my buddy who was an Editor for the Red and Black took me back to a house to meet the boys in the band and party a bit. Really laid back band, very refreshing.......
