Further survey work undertaken by ORB, in association with its research partner IIACSS, confirms our earlier estimate that over 1,000,000 Iraqi citizens have died as a result of the conflict which started in 2003.
If one takes into account the margin of error associated with survey data of this nature then the estimated range is between 946,000 and 1,120,000.
NO! THEY DIED NOT FOR HUMANITY!!! THEY AR NOT HEROES....!!!! THEY WERE JUST FUCKING KILLERS....FOR FUCKING OIL!!!! JUST FOR FUCKING OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO! THEY DIED NOT FOR HUMANITY!!! THEY AR NOT HEROES....!!!! THEY WERE JUST FUCKING KILLERS....FOR FUCKING OIL!!!! JUST FOR FUCKING OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a shame none of them died at home defending their country like all the people they killed. In fact most of the people killed by Americans aren't even defending anything - they just have the misfortune to be in the way or a nation that America hates. The tragedy of it is these talented young American men and women are slain too and cheated of the fruitful lives they should have enjoyed too. I suppose my comments will be removed or banned yet again by those who believe in freedom of speech.
@CompactJam Remember when they hit the twin towers? Were they defending their country? I don't think so these "people" meaning Islamic extremist not every Muslim hate Americans, western democracy, and Christians and were willing to do anything to kill us or inflict fear in us so fighting in Afghanistan is for a cause and for your safety. And we don't kill innocent civilians I personally took an oath to never let harm befall an innocent life regardless of race country or wealth
@Callofdutyman5 Dream on Yankee boy. Muslims don't hate every American at all you idiot. Extremist muslims hit the twin towers because those two buildings have done more to ruin economies in the subcontinents than any other and because of American support for Israel - go and read the results of the enquiry before you start spouting shit. The trade towers have killed tens of thousands of people worldwide. Ask latin americans, arabs, africans and southern asians
@CompactJam Do you know how many innocent people where in those towers when they fell? and when was the last time you saw a tower pick up a gun or rocket launcher and kill someone? And if I asked anyone around the world what the twin towers mean to them they would either have no idea what they are or say something about 9/11 Who says "oh shit the twin towers killed my family and friends"? And I specifically said Islamic extremists read what I wrote clearly before you comment
@Callofdutyman5 The numbers that died are horrific. No one denies the horror but in comparison to the decades of terrorism elsewhere they are insignificant no matter how compelling the personal tragedies. Whatever the horror it does not justify militarising the entire planet. And yes I have borne arms in conflict and served in forward positions so I do know exactly what death by war, starvation, malnutrition and disease looks like. My point if anything is that your men are lions led by donkeys
@CompactJam This I do agree that our leaders are stupid as balls but I don't believe that the men fighting this war should die cause some politician said so thats why I'm gonna be a combat medic to try and save lives
@Callofdutyman5 The point is my friend that there is no war. It's a weapon of mass distraction. The twin towers attack was an act of retalliation not invasion. There is no move afoot to invade France, Holland, Poland, Philipines, Denmark, UK and the US by anything called or resembling american notions of something called al qaeda. Your men will be deployed into theatres they've never heard of and nearly forty percent of your casualties will be civilians. There are no battles any more.
@Callofdutyman5 Now - 2nd amazing fact for you. The most likely victim of Islamic terror is another muslim so again stop spouting shit. The notion that America is under seige by Islam is such bullshit that only people like you believe it but nevertheless it justifies billions more dollars to be spent on yet more American atrocities because they still haven't learnt their lesson. In the UK, France, Holland, Spain, Greece people have died for decades but they don't resort to terror like the US
@Callofdutyman5 Their leaders are with the US on policy there yes. Their troops serve alongside Canadians, Polish, Dutch and several other nations yes
@CompactJam That wasn't a question I was saying that you said they don't resort to terrorism like the U.S. but they go into Afghanistan with us which you believe is a terrorist move? you contradict yourself
@Callofdutyman5 I'm referring to George Bush's address on the state of the nation when he announced that he was under threat and would take 'whatever measures necessary' to protect American interests along with the sinister threat 'you are either with us or against us' The US allies have all so far prosecuted their campaigns within UN mandates in Afghanistan. (France and Germany opposed early action) However unlike all allies the US is not prepared to have it's men subject to international law
@Callofdutyman5 Americans are the only UN troops who refuse to wear blue. Did you know America was never at war in Vietnam? It was a UN campaign but Americans don't bother with the rules of conduct that other nations do and they caused plenty of civilian casualties during that conflict. They dropped more bombs on Laos than they did during the whole WWII on rice farmers and mango pickers. Now they have eliminated all 'non embedded journalists' so you will never see pictures like vietnam again
@CompactJam I don't support the Vietnam war or the Korean war those were two countries that needed to decide for themselves who was going to be the ruling government as did China the government back then was just scared shitless of commies and the U.S.S.R. But I do believe it isn't far that those Americans had to go and die for no reason as we have here and I do support Afghanistan because despite what you say I was nine years old when the towers fell and saw them fall because I was in the city
@Callofdutyman5 Therefore it will be the seminal moment of your life and I understand that but it was an incident not a trend. My country spent nearly ten years on the brink of civil war. I saw death from an early age too but I have learnt that this is not normal and that there are better lives. You will not be protecting your homeland in Afghanistan. Your deployment will just be fucking them up and encouraging them to strike your land again.
@Callofdutyman5 When faced with decades of terrorism and tens of thousands of deaths the British, French and Spanish for example have never made speeches about people being with them or against them. They don't abandon international law. They stoically take it on the chin or as christians say 'turn the other cheek' They may even start ramping up various intensities of operations but they do not destroy civilisation and undermine the rule of law.
@CompactJam What I'm trying to say is that the American government is not perfect and the politicians have their own agenda but the men and women of our army join and serve in good faith and do these things because they want to protect their country and love their home. When you were in the army or whatever armed forces you were a part of weren't you doing it for your country and didn't regret it at all and don't tell me you knew exactly what your politicians were doing
@Callofdutyman5 I know what you're saying but it's wrong. Men behave in a unitary fashion in warfare. The unit - not logic or morals or ethics - the unit. I had no fing idea of what my leaders were doing. I just stood terrified on street corners ramming guns in people's faces and that's what you will do. The US govt is as far from perfect as a govt can get and that is why your presence will be hated. It's a pirate nation. It's the only govt threatening global stability and you will pay for it
@CompactJam Hail Fidel! You obviously take marching orders from Cuba, or Bejing... or from Bin-Laden before he was taken out. Your comment about standing on a street corner sticking a gun in someone's face marks you as the terrorist, not the U.S. military. I've served overseas, though not in combat. I have, however, known dozens who have seen the smoke and fog of war. They are courageous, freedom-loving, good-hearted people. I've never heard hatred in their voices, like I hear in yours.
@RogerRambo50 Yes I was a terrorist when I was a kid. I just had a highly respected uniform on that allowed me to get away with it. I didn't serve Cuba though I served one of your greatest allies bullying people that just wanted to be left alone just like the folks in korea, vietnam, iraq, iran, grenada, panama, laos, cambodia, nicaragua and afghanistan want to be left alone. I wish you the long night and the peaceful sleep. I'm not a hater I'm a lover and i want your men to be safe at home
@CompactJam Not sure where you're from but America is the only country that goes beyond our borders to assist other countries. I wish we would stop because a-holes like you don't appreciate it and we have enough of our own to take care of. It's time America worry about Americans and let the other countries starve, die from lack of medical supplies, and kill each other off or die at the hands of their own government. As for mercs, read your history, countries have been using them for centuries.
@csonka714 Yes thank you. That would be very nice if you would just leave us all alone and stop helping poor us and we'll try not to die because there aren't any Americans around. Japan actually donates the most foreign aid per capita and well over a hundred member nations of the UN conduct foreign aid missions but I forgive your ignorance. You're American. Yes just go back to thinking all about yourselves again. It's not as if you actually respect foreigners after all. Keep your soldiers home
@CompactJam who came running to your aid when that disaster happened? who is still there helping you recover? who will always be there to save you in your time of need?
@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx Erm no one has coming running to my aid and I don't even know what disaster you're talking about. I don't want any armed aid at all thank you. Please tell your men to stand down and return to their homes.
@CompactJam oh i thought you said you were japanese, but if your country got invaded tomorrow the fist country that came to your mind would be the US because, allthough some jackasses in the world cant see, the US will never leave an ally when it needs us
@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx Please try to get this through your head. I don't and never will want American intervention. Stop dreaming that you are global policemen that the world needs to stablise it'self. You're the uncivilised state along with israel that threatens global peace. You breed idiots who will believe anything. Americans are as different from the rest of the world as ducks are from eagles. They have no respect for anyone else and think those they invade should be grateful. :/
@CompactJam during the second world war, all of europe was gratefull for us helping, the UK the most, south korea is greatful when we helped them, south vietnam was grateful, somalia was grateful, iraq is able to vote because of us. and if im not mistaken arent the UK the most power hunger country on the planet? look at you history you have invaded so many inocent countries for no reason at all just so you could have land.
@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx Hmm no. A world war is a world war. Except of course for America who tried as hard as it could for as long as it could to ignore the events in Europe and only reluctantly entered the war after Japan reacted to the US naval blockade of Japan and the sinking of one of it's submarines by bombing Pearl. South Korea is another nightmare that still remains unresolved with animosity between neighbouring states. Somalia isn't grateful to anyone and forced a US withdrawal from that zone
@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx In Iraq more people have died since the US declared peace there than during the war. Troops are still there and all original exit strategems have now been abandoned. People voted there before the conflict of course althought it was not by any means an ideal nation. Now your last point. Despite living in Britain I am not British and I have no intention of entering into a national competition with you. My own government appalls me only slightly less than yours.
@Callofdutyman5 But before I go let me leave you this brain stretcher - forget US regular forces. How many spooky mercs under US pay do you think there are out there? There are more mercenaries worldwide than at any time in history because American militarised and destablised the entire planet. If you are going out there to serve I wish you safe passage and a long life
"Semper fi tell the day i die, feared by all, loved by some, i will hold my oath tell the day my heart stops working untill then i will hold this gun by my side to portect my country and the men women and children." *_*
Is there any clearer version that we can see the text that flashes up between some of the pics? like the text in the "no man left behind" part? I'd like to know what that says.. but can't make it out. :/ Excellent video though.. cried the whole 6:31. God bless our boys! (and girls)
i don't understand why we don't have a a count of our dead, everyday, on our national news service stations...we are fighting 2 wars, and only PBS, gives a daily count of the dead...boys are dying everyday, and we, as Americans, should be reminded of this every day...it should BE IN OUR FACE!
@1clarinet1981 Not just our dead, but our wounded. I'm a brit, served in desert storm and lost my brother in Afghanistan. The wounded don't even get recognised, people should be told every day what our sacrafice is.
i wonder why we watch this videos, is it because it makes us feel better because we appreciate the great army, or this Heroes?, then i realized its because we need some way to thank them for all they do for us, as we cant go, because we are too afraid of dying, or because we simply dont know how to do so.. So yeah, i am a Scared of dying person, but you, mighty heroes, are the ones who make us be safe at hone, we thank you for it.
I Live in Colombia, was born here, and i feel this, way
thank u and my thoughts to god him self ,,,seem not enough i am blessed because of men like these..........i love u and u r in my thoughts to heaven.....
My grandpa serves in the far indies with the dutch army against the imperial army, he was got taken prisoner and must work in burma on the burma railways.. many friends, comrades died luckly he survived but many don't... god bless for all those who served and are now in the front fighting for our freedom,y you're sacrifice would be for nothing
For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter
God bless the U.S. military and all who serve and have served, you've done good by me and i couldnt be anymore grateful,
fuck all these little bitches who act like they know all, you guys do your best at what you're told to do, and may you come back safe to your families, as well as your buddies, god speed yall, hold fast it'll be over soon and you're service will be appreciated by people such as myself
all hail all who have died so that I may be free. Do not forget that you are free becuse other pepole have died for your freedom. thus live your life´s as if you lived the life of all who have died for your freedom and honor the memori of them.
THEY AREN'T FIGHTING FOR US, THEY'RE FIGHTING FOR CORPORATIONS!
Imagine the pure stupid ignorant evil of a man who signs up for an Illegal, undemocratic war, happily gets paid by the tax payer, against the will of the tax payer, to kill inocent people in their own country, for the sole benefit of corporations!!
AND YOU WANT US TO BELIEVE HE'S A HERO!?
If its just stupidity, then I feel sorry that we haven't educated him, but tbh, I don't care if he dies.
if you're so goddamn righteous why dont you go over and share you're insightful wisdom with them oh smart one? i can tell you what would happen, you'd be shot dead on the spot, i dont entirely agree with the war myself but the soldiers have no choice they get forced over there so asswipes like you can sit there with your daddys tounge up your ass, and comment like you know everything, when actually you sound like an absolute fucking retard, seriously shut your cock sucker
that was really sad and truely touching. i love watching videos like this cuz it reminds me of our brave, devoted soldiers. God bless all the soldiers and their families!
Iraq had a leader, Saddam Hussein, who not only killed thousends of iraqi people with gasboms, they also said irq had Nuclinair wapeons. If that's true, we still don't know.
That why The USA started operation Iraqi Freedom!
And 9//1 had nothing to do about it Rolark! Afgahinistan = 9/11 = Al-Qaeda
I will fight for this country and i will die if i have too, i am a loyal american/republican/conservitave and i will join the marines to fight for and defend the United States Of America! Say that name a few times out loud all of you, ASPECIALLY THE LIBER DEMOC RATS.
Now say it a little louder, Now yell it, go youside and yell it
i garentee it will lift your spirit and make you smile, America is one of the best places on earth despite the things we may have done in the past, you cant disagree.
I respect the fallen soldiers and those who are still there fighting. But remember, when they are actually there fighting, they don't fight for their country. They fight for each other. Numerous soldiers over the years have stated this.
And just a little note, please don't think that they are protecting our freedom here in the west, but rather that they're protecting the innocents of the troubled countries. It would be foolish to say that the taliban pose any threat to western countries(USA).
I respect them, really I do, but I don't think the war in Iraq will improve anything. Instead of supporting your troops to wage war, please, please, support the fight to bring your troops back and never let war repeat itself. War is futile and is contempt for human life.
war is ugly. some are wounded, some are killed. freedom is priceless. we can not allow those who want to destroy freedom destroy freedom. people understand what we have! (usa) "it is foolish and wrong to mourn the men that died, rather thank God that such men have lived" -general george s. patton
Aye, I too think there must be a struggle for freedom. But what type of struggle, that is what I am pondering about. Of course, the WWII was a necessary evil when it comes to defeating the Nazi-threat, but now...
I just hear the news telling me about American bombraids and bombraids killing innocent people, and of american (AND Iraqi)-bullets killing and killing. It's just so meaningless. There must be another way, a more diplomatic way than this savage way of "achieving freedom".
And what's with the "Godbless America and nobody else"-mood? If you want to save the world and ensure Iraqi-freedom, and if you interfere in World business, you could go like this: "Godbless the World"? Sounds better, actually. (:
Dude, we tried that already and the good-ole dick tator pulled down his pants and yelled fruit basket, so we crushed their main military forces and invaded them, and now the 2nd in comand is hiding in the mountains like the ass rat he is :)
I hope you know that War is a tarrible thing but somtimes its the only answer. and also, most people dont understand that we didnt go to war with iraq, we went to war with the TALIBAN and iraqs dick tator... a whole diferent thing
this makes it even more okay for me to join i dont care if i die the whole point of joining is to help others knowing you are going to die just 3 more years for me
The greatest duty our nation owes to those who would lay down their lives to protect us is to never send them into harms way because of lies and the ego of politicians. May our military never be subjected to the dishonorable actions of the past 5 years ever again.
Indeed it should. I've lost 6 people over there in the past 2 years. It's been hectic, but things like this show that they didn't die for nothing. Thank you all.
Everyone should remember these men. they are incredible! They do so much for our country. They give their lives and go through unimaginable experiences. What a beautiful song. i could never get sick of it. They are be watched over by God. And are protected. may our prayers be with them. God bless america. My respect.... Semper Fi
I DO believe in freedom of speech, a cornerstone of this Great Nation. However, this is not the place to make political comments and to convey your opinions in a fashion aimed at causing debate, conflict, and heartache. There are other places for that!! I WILL DELETE THEM! BE RESPECTFUL! Thank you.
A beautiful and moving tribute to fallen heroes, may they rest in peace until we meet and be reconciled with them at the rescurrection of the saints.5/5*
Poor quality??? The quality is in the meaning my friend and you can't get any better. Well done. On behalf of all of my family who has served or still serves I thank you.
ty, ty for dooin this video. I well was there and I lost a lot of my friends and I know we fight a pointless fight but it means a lot people being there when we feel we are alone
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag
Thank you and God Bless you for taking the time to make this moving video! --a former US Army Soldier

@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx Erm no one has coming running to my aid and I don't even know what disaster you're talking about. I don't want any armed aid at all thank you. Please tell your men to stand down and return to their homes.

@CompactJam oh i thought you said you were japanese, but if your country got invaded tomorrow the fist country that came to your mind would be the US because, allthough some jackasses in the world cant see, the US will never leave an ally when it needs us
xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx 8 months ago
@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx Please try to get this through your head. I don't and never will want American intervention. Stop dreaming that you are global policemen that the world needs to stablise it'self. You're the uncivilised state along with israel that threatens global peace. You breed idiots who will believe anything. Americans are as different from the rest of the world as ducks are from eagles. They have no respect for anyone else and think those they invade should be grateful. :/
CompactJam 8 months ago
@CompactJam during the second world war, all of europe was gratefull for us helping, the UK the most, south korea is greatful when we helped them, south vietnam was grateful, somalia was grateful, iraq is able to vote because of us. and if im not mistaken arent the UK the most power hunger country on the planet? look at you history you have invaded so many inocent countries for no reason at all just so you could have land.
xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx 8 months ago
@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx Hmm no. A world war is a world war. Except of course for America who tried as hard as it could for as long as it could to ignore the events in Europe and only reluctantly entered the war after Japan reacted to the US naval blockade of Japan and the sinking of one of it's submarines by bombing Pearl. South Korea is another nightmare that still remains unresolved with animosity between neighbouring states. Somalia isn't grateful to anyone and forced a US withdrawal from that zone
CompactJam 8 months ago
@xXsiLeNtXkILLzXx In Iraq more people have died since the US declared peace there than during the war. Troops are still there and all original exit strategems have now been abandoned. People voted there before the conflict of course althought it was not by any means an ideal nation. Now your last point. Despite living in Britain I am not British and I have no intention of entering into a national competition with you. My own government appalls me only slightly less than yours.
CompactJam 8 months ago
@Callofdutyman5 But before I go let me leave you this brain stretcher - forget US regular forces. How many spooky mercs under US pay do you think there are out there? There are more mercenaries worldwide than at any time in history because American militarised and destablised the entire planet. If you are going out there to serve I wish you safe passage and a long life

i don't understand why we don't have a a count of our dead, everyday, on our national news service stations...we are fighting 2 wars, and only PBS, gives a daily count of the dead...boys are dying everyday, and we, as Americans, should be reminded of this every day...it should BE IN OUR FACE!

TobiasRae 2 years ago
war is ugly. some are wounded, some are killed. freedom is priceless. we can not allow those who want to destroy freedom destroy freedom. people understand what we have! (usa) "it is foolish and wrong to mourn the men that died, rather thank God that such men have lived" -general george s. patton

You have a pure capitalist government. Yey.
Agree with you, though. Mostly. Although I think there are other ways to do it than war.

TobiasRae 2 years ago
freedom is worth struggleing for... ghandi is wrong when he said that. rather "the day we lose our will to fight is the day we lose our freedom"
army13bro 2 years ago
Aye, I too think there must be a struggle for freedom. But what type of struggle, that is what I am pondering about. Of course, the WWII was a necessary evil when it comes to defeating the Nazi-threat, but now...
I just hear the news telling me about American bombraids and bombraids killing innocent people, and of american (AND Iraqi)-bullets killing and killing. It's just so meaningless. There must be another way, a more diplomatic way than this savage way of "achieving freedom".
TobiasRae 2 years ago
And what's with the "Godbless America and nobody else"-mood? If you want to save the world and ensure Iraqi-freedom, and if you interfere in World business, you could go like this: "Godbless the World"? Sounds better, actually. (:
TobiasRae 2 years ago
Is that a question directed at the video or in general?
happydays12345 2 years ago
Dude, we tried that already and the good-ole dick tator pulled down his pants and yelled fruit basket, so we crushed their main military forces and invaded them, and now the 2nd in comand is hiding in the mountains like the ass rat he is :)
I hope you know that War is a tarrible thing but somtimes its the only answer. and also, most people dont understand that we didnt go to war with iraq, we went to war with the TALIBAN and iraqs dick tator... a whole diferent thing

The greatest duty our nation owes to those who would lay down their lives to protect us is to never send them into harms way because of lies and the ego of politicians. May our military never be subjected to the dishonorable actions of the past 5 years ever again.
