@oportas1 Thanks! The box and ball are the "bass" and "snare" sounds. The ball is actually an egg shaker, but instead of shaking it, I'm just tapping it to make a percussive sound.

@danyetman Yes! I used to only own a classical and an electric guitar, so I always had to rent a steel string whenever I needed one for a recording, but last week I finally ended up buying the Seagull that's in this video. I love it!

@PoopPoopFart They're damn good guitars. Not quite Taylor- or Martin-quality, and they have a tendency to be unusually quiet for an acoustic, but their tonal qualities make them ideal for recording. I used to sell guitars, and Seagulls were always my favorite for their price-point.

@Bassium08 Hello sir. For the most part I only finger pick on nylon strings, mostly 'cuz I'm lazy and I don't like to buff my nails a lot, and steel strings tend to wear out my nails more quickly. Usually the only time that I finger pick on steel strings is if I'm playing something that can't be played with a pick.

As much as I like this, it also sort of depresses me. This is the sound Nintendo clearly wanted to get into their games in the 8 and 16-bit eras, and now that they can... They fill all their games with crappy, uninspired synth instead.
