what nutrient mix are you using & what ph is the system?
Fungi can just appear... it comes from the right climate conditions. Normally it is associated with humidity, warmth & organic organisms.
Hydro hygiene is very important.
May want to look at making up a foliage spray (supplementary nutrient mix).
Add some organic compounds; worm castings, tissue, root & cellular growth promoters. You can also add things such as epsom salts, micro nutrients to support potential inbalances.
A 1000 Watt HPS would make those plants grow alot better. Just Sayin

You might try a foliar spray of epsom salt, I'm new to hydro, but seems to work great out in the garden. Just a thought.
