hey, it's me tercio from Historum :p. Loved this part. little error I found lol. There are two Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba's. you mentioned the gran capitan, but listed his greatest battle as one from the other :p lol. also why is pizarro ahead of cortez I wonder? sure he had a smaller army, but he used cortez's strategies and screwed up alot more.
@Foneio I know about Gonzalo Fernandez's error :) But I can do nothing with it :) Pizarro is ahead of Cortes, beacause Inca's didn't consider him to be a god,and struggled. And what did the aztecs do?They were afraid of Cortes because they thought he was a god.Cortes was a lucky guy.
@Gevor22 Its just a tip about the greatest russian military commanders: Aleksei Brusilov, Ermak Timofeevich, Boris Cheremetev, Alexei Ermolov, Mikhail Skobelev, Vasilii Dolgoroukov, Dimitrii Pogarskii, Mikhail Shcuiskii. And the rest of them: Michel Ney, L-N Davout, Eugene de Beauharnais, Nathan Bedford Forrest, Archduke Charles, JEB Stuart, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Gerhard von Scharnhorst, Von Gnesenau. It is just a list of the most famous military commanders that you did not mentionned;can use it !
@Gevor22 Oh you are welcome and I am very glad that someone in this world is interested in history ! By the way, what profession do you want to exerce later ? Historian? I want to be a history teacher.... Teach people about European historyand the americas... I very like European history I do not really like African, Asian history... If you want me to provide so important information about russian, polish, german, and eastern european history you always sent me a message.
@HistorianUndertaker1 I am just a 20 years old guy, who study in a University of Economics.History is not my profession.I value your suggestions about military commander. You are very inteligent person. And I will ask you for help, when I need it.Thank you very much.
You did put Esen Taishi. Not so many knows his name. But not so many ..i mean very few can accomplish what he could do.Oh that battle of Tumu. With 20.000 troops ,defeated an army of 500.000 ...no not just defeated ,it is completely crushed the imperial army of 500.000 and captured Chinese Emperor. That's impossible ..people say ..but yeah this man did it.
Villars was an honourable man of high courage, moral and physical, and a soldier who stands above all his contemporaries and successors in the 18th century, on the same height as Maurice de Saxe and Frederick II of Prussia.Still he's not one of greatest if we're talking about whole human history.
and again villars was one of the greatest generals in the war of the spanish sucesion and his greatest battle was the Battle of Denain , he defeat eugine of seboy he is in your list too villars i think must be in the 55 place of your list
@MsOal Man Villars was always outnumbered. In the Battle of Denain he had 30000 troop, but Eugene of Savoy and Arnold van Keppel had 11000 troops.I don't think that he must be in TOP 100.
Well I honestly think that Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba should be in top 20

@zimbreator Yes I made a mistake putting him in so low position.

@Gevor22 no I mean in history there are two but you mixed their info. I prefer the first one though, as the founder of Tercios!
