I'll remember the pass against Ohio State for as long as I live. I was 11 at the time, and Drew Brees was my hero. How fantastic that he was given Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year award.
I still remember the NFL draft that year and, my favorite team, the Dolphins passed on Brees late in the first round - when they clearly needed a Qb! I was so pissed off !!!! They instead drafted CB Jamal Fletcher....made me want to puke!
@1818skimo There's worse. My team, the Bears, picked David Terrell with the 4th overall pick in the draft, who became a huge bust. THEN, when Brees was leaving San Diego, the Bears could have gotten him again, but instead stuck with Rex Grossman. Epic fail.

And THE moment of my college football fandom career. I remember feeling the student section levitate as we all jumped into the air in unison when 'no-hands' Morales caught that ball.
To me that year Drew Brees should have won the Heisman... I mean cmon the guy beat OSU and Michigan. He took Purdue on his shoulders to both victories... DREW FUKN BREES

As an OSU fan, I admit that Purdue deserved to win the Big Ten Championship that year. The Buckeyes sucked that year, but the Boilermakers beat them and Michigan.

I think ti was Chris Wienke.
Still, Huepel was drafted by the Dolphins and didn't even make the team.
