Indeed, it doesn't need ailerons because it uses the elevons to control roll (also called tailerons), just like the actual plane in real life.

Ali I just got my starmax plane today. How does the retracts work? I saw on tinkerman he uses air. I could not get them to work. Thanks for your help. Have you flown yours with just the rudders and elevators or did you mix the tail?

She's an easy fly that can get nasty wit it. With MB1s you can fly her on 3,4,5,6 at 5s the MB1s will put out 3pds over AUW using 6000mah 5s and an esc bus, I haven't gotten the hair to fly her that fast but when I do I'll make a vid.

I'm currently flying her a lil >600 watts, 1 4s 3700 mah to get used to landing etc and she flys great floats long time...stops on flyin when she's out.

What is the exact length of this jet? I see there maybe a new one out that might be to scale. They are advertising it at 50.7 inches or 1290 mm. Wondering if its like the non scale plane. Thanks Joe

My heli makes a loud sort of grinding noise when it starts up and shakes, i looked at the new main gear bu didn't see anything yet. it also spins for a long time when i cut the power

@blackhawk438 check gears if they are ok, check gear mesh, maybe its too tight, and also see if your main rotor head shaft is not bent. if its not bent then balance and track the blades.

@alishanmao i found the problem. I had incorrectly replaced the tail box and a piece was missing causing the tail rotor to shake a lot. ( the noise was also caused by this

Is this one EPP\EPO\PN foam? Their last version would get hanger rash if you looked at it wrong, from that experience I don't want ever by EPS foam...too britile relative to the others listed and isn't as durable either.

@alishanmao - Since late 90's foam has come in multiple forms. EPS is very rigid & light but when impacted breaks up into something that usually can't be fixed. EPP\EPO\PN is heavier & less rigid but doesn't breakup on impact as much as EPS does, IE it's been very popular for model aircraft due to it's durability. I have a Starmax F-14 now that gets hanger rash is I look at it strange due to it being made of EPS. EPP\EPO\PN is more resistant to impact & more newb friendly :-)

The Tomcat flys on a taileron setup. Look at TinkermanRC's F-14 set-up here on you-tube, it's also a twin edf tomcat. He's done a pile of set-up before maiden, getting things just right.

....and PLEASE if you could include video of the wings retracting with the cover off the servo so we can see the mechanics of how it works that would be a huge favor to me. Also report what kind of challenges you have with CG as the wings retract. I assume it will be a bit tail heavy with the wings extended and nose heavy with them swept back?

But damn that mini turbine that can fit in 70mm EDF Size jet, is almost 3000 USD only turbine :( not including all that other crap you have to buy, the computerized fuel control system, software and much more. Turbines are still way too much for me, EDF are the next generations my man ;)
