And why would u want the OT to help with the adds.....tht will get a raid wipe. its impossible to 1 tank doin the wholefight alone. whn a tank gets the De-buff "rune of blood" the othere tank should tunt off. cuz tht de-buff every time u get meled by da boss... he healz himself n gains RP
i did this with 2 healers, 2 tanks and 6 dps (all we had full t10) we had the boss in like 3 mins down to 20% but failed on the marks and wiped, thnx for all the info in this movie :)
That's a fairly ideal set up. The hunter should be placing a trap right behind the boss to slow the beasts. The druid should and both mages should be on one add. On the other add should be all the melee and the hunter with the rogue MD'ing to the hunter. If the DK isn't currently tanking when the beats come out he can help but putting chains of ice on the adds.
The rogue and the pally should be using all their stuns and shouldn't have agro issues because of the MD.
im the gm of my guild and we did our first attempt saturday and ran right through them all until this guy and we just cant get him down i dont know if we dont have enough melee or enough dps from the ranged we did get him down to 15% but then our hunter decided he was just gonna forget the adds and dps the boss so we wiped and he left the way we did it was druid on the right rooted one beast and all ranged on the left beast then after that was down dps the beast that was rooted any suggestions?
Rooting an add is an incredibly risky thing to do (and in general a bad idea...no offense). This is because anybody who then gets in melee range of that add is guaranteed to get hit by the add. You have to split dps between the two adds.
It will be different depending on your raid comp but here are a few ideas:
-If you have a rogue, have him MD to the ranged assigned to that add and use as many stuns as possible. You should put most of your melee dps on this add (see below for exception).
-DK and pally melee are also useful. DKs should be using chains of ice and paladins should be using HOJ.
-The OT should be helping with adds. If an add gets too close to a ranged, the OT should taunt (NOT DEATH GRIP) the add so that it will slowly run back towards the boss away from the ranged. This should give you plenty of time to kill it before the taunt wears off and it goes back after the ranged.
-You should have a frost trap / earthbind totem (make sure it's NOT talented so it doesn't root the add) right behind the boss so the adds get slowed.
-Boomkins / ele shamans should be using their pushbacks if the add gets too close. Hunters should not be using feign death if they are tanking an add as it will then likely hit a melee dps.
-Everybody needs to watch agro on adds. It's OK to steal agro as long as you aren't right next to the add.
oh no i dont take offense im open to criticism bc i would like to progress farther in
but the druid never took melee hits when he rooted the beast when she rooted him all dps went to the other add till they burned it down then they all switch back over to the only open add which worked well might i add like i said we got him down to 15% but couldnt progress any farther and now we cant get him down past 30 % thank you very much for your help and im open to any ideas or suggestions

ok right after posting the reply above I looked to see what kind of fraps files i have of the other 2 bosses. I found one of our first ever kill of the first boss but that has been nerfed so much that I felt the video was out of date. However, the gunship battle hasn't changed too much so I whipped it up!

Lol, this boss is very easy if you know how the mechanics work and got proper range dps.

also at one point with did replace a mage with a shammy for the push back but all that did was put the beast directly on top of us and we aggrod them
