I don't think that's ALL the 360 copied I think Microsoft copied Nintendo with the design of the controller. Look at how similiar the 360 controller looks to the Gamecube the analog sticks on the 360 are placed exactly the same way the Gamecube analog stick and C-Stick are. The D-Pad is in the same location.

Some people would maybe shut up if they would know that Sony ASKED Nintendo to make a console for them! Sony didn't knew at that time how to integrate themself into the console business and asked Nintendo to cooperate with them. But at the end Sony took the rights. The technology they used is based on what Sony AND Nintendo have worked on!
And sure the wii does have some hardcore games but the number of kiddie games and cutsey games outnumber the amount of hardcore games that the wii has. I think the ps3 and 360 are targeted at the more hardcore gamer. both the 360 and ps3 have more hardcore games then the wii by far.
I know a ton of females that have bought the wii just for wii fit. I think the wii's target audience is women and children. Sure the wii has some hardcore games, but the little kiddy games and cutsey games outnumber the hardcore games. I think the Wii has better sales because it has a broader appeal. the majority of the games on that system are family freindly. And there is nothing wrong with that, I'm just saying thats the only reason it has better sales.
Really, don't even compare the two(PC & Consoles), I'm tired of shooting down PC fansboys. I play PC games occasionally(mostly Neverwinter Knights and EVE), but it can't compare to Nintendo(or any Console for that matter)!!!

I think all this PS Move and Natal stuff are made up just for competition. I don't really like the mechanisms of motion controller, I don't even use the Sixaxis technology most of the times, except for some games.
the wii is obviously going to get more sells because most of its games are based for kids. im not a fan boy or anything but i still dont think the wii can compete with the ps3 n 360. dont get me wrong the wii is a fun system and is great for family but i still feel their games arent hardcore enough for me

@Raikulxox sure it does have some "hardcore" titles but the Wii is aimed towards children and much younger gamers as to the ps3 and 360. Even their "hardcore" games have qualities that are childish. Ex. Mad World, sure it has gore but it's a more cartoonish gore as opposed to a game like Fallout 3, CoD, or most other M rated games on the ps3 and 360. While it may not be kid only it's kid mostly.

I have owned all three systems. I bought a 360 then a wii, then sold both my 360 and wii and bought a ps3. All the systems have problems. The 360 is error prone, the wii doesn't have a big hardcore scene or internet, and the ps3 has some really obnoxious setting issues. But all that aside, the wii is money maker. that is why the other companies are copying it, not because fanboys want it, but because the companies want the money that the wii has. it's not about fanboys, its about money.
OK I want to clear a few things up however. The wands history go back to eyetoy and is only upon their own agenda. even MS had something to do with this on windows in the ps1 days I think.
I think that in the long run they should all follow Wii's example, but it should be a controller in twine rather a remote, no simpler then that. Right analog stck and all. Not realy for optionality on a fps, but more to do with Twighlight Princess like games where you have a d-pad to move the cam.

I think it may happen one of these days since were going into it slowly. Most people like N for innovation, but as i've seen for accessories, the NES mostly had third party minds and they merely lisenced it for release like any would.
human interactivity in games still started with Eyetoy regardless however and was probable inspiration. Every conesole has it's toys and even the Zapper is an inspiration to have a fun gun accessory as to Oddyssy's first, though they improved upon it.
As of now, I heard sony talk about using the wireless controller as a sheild and movement in a game and then the wond they experimented from last gen as said before as a sword. Interesting and they said most games only need one wand.

I don't think either system is better; PS3 has REALLY good graphics, while Wii has REALLY good gameplay. Believe it or not, PS3 ACTUALLY has more exclusives than the 360; most 360 games are multi-platform. All the Halo's (except for ODST, Halo 3, Halo Wars, and possibly Halo Reach) are on PC. Gears of War [2] is on PC. PS3 wins out of the two.

How many wii games have you played? punch out for the wii if you play on the blance board you have full control of little mack you can make him dodge to the side by actually strafing to the side, you can also move forward with the Wii more in variouse other games it al depends on how the developer makes use of the mote. besides obviously Microsoft and sony are going to find ways to improve motion control since the wii has been out they can study and make changes for their system.

Have you thought about the technology from a developers point of view? In my OPINION, I think the PS3's technology will be more advanced than the Wiis. Sure, you could say they copied, but, if you think about it, one of the main things that is kinda limiting about the Wii is its power. So, one could say the PS3 could be the Wii developers always wanted. One could also say, the Wii beta tested the revolutionary/innovative technology, for both companies. But that's just my thoughts.
By the way, the reason why I myself say the PS3's motion is better is because of the use of the eye toy and ability to track movement to sub-pixel level. The ability to put oneself in the game, even if you must stay on one spot. Now some people would say - Wii Motion plus!!! But I don't think it would be as accurate to a sub-pixel level as PS3 is doing. What do you think?

WEll, the triple A and double A aren't a standard measure, but used by some. Triple A pretty much means really awesome, while double A means a little lower than that. Although there's not much great titles on the Wii, in *most* cases the great titles that they do get are completely awesome compared to *most* great titles on the other 2.

Nope. I work in a gaming shop that has at least 4 (up to 16) 360s running constantly, me and all of my friends have a 360 and I have never seen a 360 scratch a disc without being moved while operating or being unlevel.

the wii is obviously going to get more sells because most of its games are based for kids. im not a fan boy or anything but i still dont think the wii can compete with the ps3 n 360. dont get me wrong the wii is a fun system and is great for family but i still feel their games arent hardcore enough for me

@Raikulxox sure it does have some "hardcore" titles but the Wii is aimed towards children and much younger gamers as to the ps3 and 360. Even their "hardcore" games have qualities that are childish. Ex. Mad World, sure it has gore but it's a more cartoonish gore as opposed to a game like Fallout 3, CoD, or most other M rated games on the ps3 and 360. While it may not be kid only it's kid mostly.

Sony had eyetoy before the wiimote even existed. I am not a fanboy or anything. I own both PS3 and the Wii, and they are both great consoles. I have owned all three systems. I bought a 360 then a wii, then sold both my 360 and wii and bought a ps3. All the systems have problems. The 360 is error prone, the wii doesn't have a big hardcore scene or internet, and the ps3 has some really obnoxious setting issues. But all that aside, the wii is money maker. that is why the other companies are copying it, not because fanboys want it, but because the companies want the money that the wii has. it's not about fanboys, its about money.

OK I want to clear a few things up however. The wands history go back to eyetoy and is only upon their own agenda. even MS had something to do with this on windows in the ps1 days I think.
I think that in the long run they should all follow Wii's example, but it should be a controller in twine rather a remote, no simpler then that. Right analog stck and all. Not realy for optionality on a fps, but more to do with Twighlight Princess like games where you have a d-pad to move the cam.

I think it may happen one of these days since were going into it slowly. Most people like N for innovation, but as i've seen for accessories, the NES mostly had third party minds and they merely lisenced it for release like any would.
human interactivity in games still started with Eyetoy regardless however and was probable inspiration. Every conesole has it's toys and even the Zapper is an inspiration to have a fun gun accessory as to Oddyssy's first, though they improved upon it.

I don't think either system is better; PS3 has REALLY good graphics, while Wii has REALLY good gameplay. Believe it or not, PS3 ACTUALLY has more exclusives than the 360; most 360 games are multi-platform. All the Halo's (except for ODST, Halo 3, Halo Wars, and possibly Halo Reach) are on PC. Gears of War [2] is on PC. PS3 wins out of the two.
My personal favorite system is the Wii, and for many good reasons.

How many wii games have you played? punch out for the wii if you play on the blance board you have full control of little mack you can make him dodge to the side by actually strafing to the side, you can also move forward with the Wii more in variouse other games it al depends on how the developer makes use of the mote. besides obviously Microsoft and sony are going to find ways to improve motion control since the wii has been out they can study and make changes for their system.

Have you thought about the technology from a developers point of view? In my OPINION, I think the PS3's technology will be more advanced than the Wiis. Sure, you could say they copied, but, if you think about it, one of the main things that is kinda limiting about the Wii is its power. So, one could say the PS3 could be the Wii developers always wanted. One could also say, the Wii beta tested the revolutionary/innovative technology, for both companies. But that's just my thoughts.

By the way, the reason why I myself say the PS3's motion is better is because of the use of the eye toy and ability to track movement to sub-pixel level. The ability to put oneself in the game, even if you must stay on one spot. Now some people would say - Wii Motion plus!!! But I don't think it would be as accurate to a sub-pixel level as PS3 is doing. What do you think?

But also, the Wii has the most triple A titles so far, while 360 and PS3 have a truckload more double A titles. The Wii saves a ton of money, which helps with the recetion going on and stuff, and it also helps some people realize that games don't need to look realistic to be good.

WEll, the triple A and double A aren't a standard measure, but used by some. Triple A pretty much means really awesome, while double A means a little lower than that. Although there's not much great titles on the Wii, in *most* cases the great titles that they do get are completely awesome compared to *most* great titles on the other 2.

Nope. I work in a gaming shop that has at least 4 (up to 16) 360s running constantly, me and all of my friends have a 360 and I have never seen a 360 scratch a disc without being moved while operating or being unlevel.

The gameboy had games that have a tilt like Kirby tilt. All Sony did was play it safe. They were not sure about Nintendo's idea. That was at a time when the fans were piss at the N. And just because someone doesn't have a wii doesn't mean they hate it. Moneys tight right now for everyone.. But for someone who hates on fanboys this guy is one of the biggest fanboys I've ever seen. Also hardcore games will be extinct on wii once all the non profiting developers jump off.

Sony has been working on a motion controller since the eye toy for the ps2 was out. So they didn't copy anybody, of course on the flip side wii didn't copy sony either cause theirs never hit the market.

slowly but shurely the wii rises to the top. but dont be so sure the wii won just yet... xbox 360 still got a few tricks up its sleeve. now, im not a fanboy or anything. its true what u say about wii making killings in sales, and xbox 360 and PS3 copying its motion sensing, and the great games coming for the system... but u know the xbox 360 has great games with online comunity. people should just chill and play games. whether u got any console, whats the point on calling out which is best?

hey if the ps3 motion controllers have great games then why not the sony fanboys buy it. No one knows how Natal will work with core games and it might even work better than the wii. Also the console war is some stupid bullshit that makes people like you market for nintendo and you get no aknowlegement from it. None of theese companies need you or me talking about how great theese consoles are. At the end of the day they are machines that's it so get the fuck over it.
