@MechaSonicX If you're offering your work for free then it's probably not very good. If it is, then you're devaluing the profession. Giving away design work for free is just going to give people the idea that design work isn't worth much, making it harder for people to actually make a living doing it. I think it's fine to do it for family or close friends. And if you're only spending 2~3 hours on a project then you're not putting enough work/thought into it.

@xHenri It's actually done me a lot of good considering I average about 30 different projects a month even with a part-time job. As far as "not putting enough work/thought", I only give people what they ask for or otherwise discuss what can be done before I take on a project. Generally what I can asked for is designs, billboards, etc, so it's not like I need 2 weeks and a bucket of paint to accomplish anything.
