i actually like dancing in these dresses more than those uncomfortable ass lavish costumes....i wear my ex husbands gowns all the time and simple tie a wrap around my waist and there u have the perfect dress! it covers but yet eccentuates the movements better than the bra and belt costumes. u can go from housewife to dancer in a second !

In the Egyptian culture, fumbling on his face means nothing. The Egyptians are still not at the stage where every move is interpreted sideways. Mediterranean cultures are freer and thereby happier. Everything is in front of the scenes and nothing is hidden behind the scenes.

Yes, men are freer among themselves, and women among themselves, but especially in the Muslim world, interaction between the sexes is not so free (to put it mildly!). see, fifi never took one lesson in her life, therefore all of her movements come from the heart and thats why she is the best...i never took any lessons either and learned from watching the women around me and i dance just like fifi...the moves are very deep and fun and come naturally with the music...kinda like you dont even need to put any thought into it, your body goes on its own.

just my opinion, but i think when the belly is uncovered, the focus is on how beautiful the female form is. but when dancing fully clothed, like fifi here, the focus is on how beautiful the DANCE is. but, belly in or belly out, i still think this is one of the most beautiful and joyful dances ever.
