For all these faggots talking shit and blowing up my inbox with comments, I wanted something that hit well and did it for cheap. I only spent about $300 or $400 on this setup and got plenty of compliments with it the way it is seen here. I didn't want to spend a large amount of money to put a competition system setup in a piece of shit Cavalier.

as i'v been searching through youtube looking at different subwoofer clips i have noticed that all the people with cheap subs (pioneer, Sony xplod, dual, boss, ect.) have really dirty cars and the equipment is hooked up half-assed. But people with good subs (kicker, JL, Fosgate, ect.) keep everything nice and clean and good looking.

@beHaR the first set of speakers i bought ( not subwoofer) were pioneer all around for like a 100 dollars package deal. front ones blew bout a month ago. replaced the fronts with memphis pr speakers. made the back 2 pioneer speakers sound like shit. clean in the front distorted in the back. once i heard that i replaced the 2 back pioneers and got eclipse point references for a great deal in the back. now it all sounds amazing and clear. 4 channel amp coming up soon also.

im thinking about getting those same subs for my cavalier too, but im gonna put them in individual box between the fender and the trunk door. you think that would work and if so would it still have good sound quality? oh and one suggestion is to put dynamat on the inside of your trunk to prevent that sheetmetal rattling sound. but other than that sound good.

well the pioneer subs that you can buy at walmart would be all you need, but if you want some hard hitting stuff, get the pioneer ts-w3002d4 (or d2) 1000w rms subs, they pound lol.

i would recommend 10 inch rockford fostgate r1's and a 200 watt amp they pick up lows amazingly they are really nice subs give the perfect amount of bass but they arent earth shattering

id say the 12 inch pioneer subs are the best for the price. 50 bucks a piece, and that 50 bucks will go further with these than any other.

Of coarse theres way better subs out there, but then ur talking money. I like these ones though. Cheap, great quality, and sound like they cost hundreds.

yea no doubt. the newer models on sonic electronix have a 91 db sensitivity and would slam in a ported box tuned in the mid 30's. I had one in a sealed box and it sounded nice but a lot louder in a L- port box tuned @ 38hz. Very good price, and very dependable subs, which model are you looking at??

hmm 90 db sensitivity, great sub for the price. they dont even have specs for ported. but depending on your amp I would go with 1.5-2.5 cubes at around 32-38 hz. I have the ones under them and made my own specs :P. I'll help ya with a box size on ported if you tell me the amp/power ratings you're running to it. No doubt, i've heard the older models that are 1000 rms and they are great. Newer models even better with higher db/w.. hit me back on comment or even p/m me :). I love pioneers.

Yea pre-fabs are fine and a lot fit custom box specs. Look this up on ebay "12" PORTED ¾" MDF SUB WOOFER BOX SUBWOOFER ENCLOSURE" and look at the one with free shipping. It's from dimensionaudio. Only I think $75, a little over 2 cubes and its an l-port tuned to 38 hz. I ordered a box from them and it was beautiful, better than I could of made one lol.

try turning down you gain and switching it to low pass filter on your amp... it sounds lousy when highs and vocals come out of ur subs.. otherwise they sound nice
