  • Lovely song. Classical like the film.

He pulls it of, in this one. Really makes shivers run down spines!

    Great film!

  • This is a rather delicious piece, would you agree agent starling?

  • let be honest, hanibal was a good film, but the character werent really that intressting, we all just sat and waited for Antonys screen time and tell us again about how awsome he is<33

  • Dear Clarice, I have followed with enthusiasm the course of your disgrace but you may lack perspective.......LMAO

  • I have prepared a rare dish tonight

  • Good evening gentlemen.

  • This recording is beautiful. On culch.ie there's a review of the film and the soundtrack by myself, check it out! It's under the soundtracks section :)

  • perfect in every lector way!!!

  • Let my home, be my gallows.

  • EXCELLENT

  • this is no Aria da Capo... is just an Aria... only named BWV 988 "Aria" from the Goldberg Variations

  • very nice..

  • buuring!!!!!!

  • I have this CD at home and whenever I need inspiration for one of my films I put this soundtrack on. It's emmence.

  • this movie will always be underrated

  • From the book the Silence of the Lambs: "He flipped over the cassette in the tape player chained to the table leg and punched the play button. Glenn Gould playing Bach's Goldberg Variations on the piano. The music, beautiful beyond plight and time, filled the bright cage and the room where the wardens sat." (Harris, p. 234) So at least in the book it was intended to be Gould.

  • This is indeed Glenn Gould playing. If you have the Goldberg Variations, it is the concluding track on the cd. I also know it is Gould because I tear at the transition of the ending 31 Variato 30 a 1 Clav. Quodlibet to the beginning of this song. The humming is definitely a signature of Gould's piano recordings.

  • yep, capricorn gos on the power of knowing things, aquarius is the power of calm and peace minded. suits him perfectly

  • you can find the sheet music easily just go to google and type in imslp then click the first link and go to the petrucci music library. go to bach and look for the goldberg variations for piano. or just look for the goldberg variations lol

  • hannibal lecter one of the smartest minds ever created. its also intresting that his birthday is the 20th january which places him directly imbetween capricorn and aquarius. making him part of both signs.

  • my mother always said , its important to try new things ....

    H.

  • thank you for loading

  • amazing, this is what i go to sleep listening to. the entire hannibal soundtrack is just divine.

  • I think for the free piano sheets you should check google.

If you do find them then you should try printing them immediatly or if you dont have a printer you can copy them down on sheets of LINED paper.

lined works better because then you dont have the trouble of making your own lines.

    Good Luck

    -C Bates

  • does anybody know where i can get the music sheets for piano for free?

  • i love Anthony Hopkins :)

  • this song is wonderful. all the hannibal fans should unite. that would be one hell of rave.... no one would leave hungry. LOL.

  • some wouldn't leave at all... heeheehee

  • oh, but they will leave, in what form or condition- this should be the question :)

  • @turbinedak Listen to classical with a nice chianti eating liver.....fff fff fff (you know what i was doing...)

  • @turbinedak But thats the thing...no one would leave >:]

  • Oh yes...much slower....*eyes closed, spinning in chair*.

  • ...wow...

  • Aria Da Capo listen and relax it is polite

  • buenisimo,,,,,, creo que es el extracto de aria da capo

  • Definitely Gould...the tone is unmistakable. Not to mention the "vocal accompaniment", lol.

  • I think the same, Definitely Gould

  • Comment removed

  • Why does he humm? It screws it up for me.

  • why does who humm?

  • Gould. Listen closely or get a better version.

  • Gould is a great pianist and a great act.

  • @AChrisL No, it isn't.

Listen at 1:47: does that sound as a pianist's humming would, or does it sound as the cries of forest-bound monsters would?

And no, Gould is not a forest-bound monster before people say so.

  • beautiful......

  • simply wonderful

  • It's Gould, for sure. It's slower becauese it is not Aria (track 01), this is Aria Da Capo (track 32). Aria Da Capo is slower.

You can hear Gould singing in the background :)

  • This is not Glenn Gould, this is even slower than he played it on his 1981 recording. This air is played very staticly, while Gould's timing was more like that of a harpsichord player.

  • Although I agree that it is not Gould the reason for it being slower is that (as Witold91 pointed out) it's Aria Da Capo and not Aria, Aria Da Capo being slower.

  • Well I think we have two options:

    or it is Gould

or it is accidentaly 100% indentical with Gould...

    hard choice, hmmmm...

  • it is gould, u can hear him sing. at least u should know it, uve put the vid on youtube.

and yes, it is the slower da capo aria

  • @josevdwal58

Are you sure??because glenn Gould always sings when he plays and i think we can hear him during this record ...or is it other special effects....??

  • @josevdwal58 this is Joao Carlos Martins

  • Goldberg variations-1,i'm pretty sure this one's from Gould, you can hear his famous "hummings" in the background ...

  • Not to my knowledge. As far as I know (from the CD and film) it was recorded for the movie and Goulds version was not used.

In the background I think is just some sounds associated with the movie.

  • haunting.. 5/5 good job
