  • Good stuff!

  • Thx for uploading these mate!!

  • my jr high teacher had mid Atlantic wrestling on recorded beta max

she brought some of the shows on a friday for a pizza party

  • Holy cow! Looks like I'm going to be watching these all day. Thank you so much for putting these up!

  • I know that David Crockett loves pro-rasslin' but he is a lousy commentator and a lousy interviewer. You had to have good mic skills if you were going to be interviewed by him.

  • I've seen most of the territories and they are all great but Mid Atlanic from 78-84 was the greastest territory ever... all the major stars came thru and it was the best of the best. I'm glad for channels like this one... thanks

  • @wickedbuzzproduction Agree Mid-Atlantic was one of the best....however Memphis, yes the much maglined Memphis territory in 1982-1984...well nothing was better. Nothing in New York, Alanta, the Carolina's etc...Andy Kaufman vs Lawler, Jimmy Hart's First Family, Macho Man's rise to fame and the constant stream of heel talent coming in to beat Lawler

  • @greenlawler -- I respect your opinion but to me 1978-84 in mid atlantic was the bomb

  • Hey Dick Slater and Jimmy Hart... it's Valentine! not Valentime! LOL! oh and while i'm at it... it's Wahoo Mcdaniel not Wahoo Mcdaniels lol

  • i like this.....AWESOME!!!

  • Watching Greg Valentine wrestle this long, especially as a babyface, is very hard to watch...

  • The past couple of days I've been wondering what would have happened if Piper had stayed in Crockett. It would have been interesting to see how he would have worked against the likes of Blanchard and a heel Wahoo.

  • thanks for these. this is pro wrestling.

  • This is an evil Dick Slater...since when is Greg Valentine the babyface in any wrestling match?

  • Classic finish. I remember that almost the exact same finish was used when Michael PS Hayes won the US title from Lex Luger, though when Terry Gordy (RIP) pushed Hayes on top of Luger, Luger didn't kick out.

  • I have wanted to see this again since it happened back in 1984! Thank you for puttin' this on here. :D

  • This was right after Starrcade 83. Roddy Piper would soon depart for the WWE. Greg Valentine would later follow suit. Slater would remain with JCP until May, then depart for Florida, then return that fall as a face. Bob Orton would also depart for the WWE that spring, but he had one last moment in the spotlight with Don Kernodle as the NWA World Tag Team Champions.

  • EXCELLENT

  • Indeed, this rocks! I only heard about this in the Apter rags.

  • FANTASTIC!! Im starved for this stuff!!

  • Nice sweater Bob Orton. Way to look like a tough guy LOL.

  • I liked Greg better in the Carolinas than the WWF. The territory fit his style better.

  • This is brilliant! Thank you!

  • You are right. This was a year of transition for Crockett. Within a few months, Valentine, Piper, Orton and Steamboat would all be gone from the territory and head for the WWF and coming in would be Tully Blanchard, Magnum TA, Nikita Koloff and JJ Dillon would come in and the national expansion of JCP would begin.

  • So Valentine lost the US Title in NWA and took off for WWF? Dude can't wait to watch all of these. Many thanks on behalf of wrestling fans!

  • @rockinpablo Yeah, Valentine did'nt want to play a face.

  • MID-ATLANTIC WAS THEEEEEE SHIT!!!!!

  • MID ATLANTIC!!!! WORLD WIDE!!! WCW!!! classsic shit!!!

  • Piper had already been making appearances in the WWF at this time as manager for Orndorff & Dr. D David Schultz.

  • I guess this is around the time Piper headed to the WWF and they put Valentine in a different feud?

  • Is this the last JCP storyline for Valentine, Piper, and Orton?

  • this was a really good era of JCP and Mid Atlantic

  • greg valentine a face.....im still tryin 2 wrap my mind around it

  • dick slater had a unique diversity: he was good as a skillfull, classy, intelligent heel that could have made him a horseman, but he was also good as the working class, beer drinkin, bar brawlin face. he was very believable and convincing on both counts. u dont c that kind of duality in cats 2day.

  • this concept you have of transition is a.....how can i put it mildly... A STROKE OF FUKIN GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!! this part of the jcp east coast run really needs 2 b told. i could only read about these happenings in the mags. its good 2 b able 2 c what actually happened. please keep em comin. and good work so far. 10 star concept

  • @blaknyte08 AMEN

  • The quality of your footage is a lot better than what I have. Mine is very watchable, but yours is great.

  • Keep em comin bro!..Good shh!

  • Where`s pt. 2 at bro?...keep em comin!

  • In time bro....in time.
