i used "Customize" as my datatype and DOA/SOA as my Write method...it works fine but the games will freeze up ( e.i. loading stages in a vs. fighting game)

can somebody help me i tried with the settings in this video and have also tried with discjuggler either way when i put the game in the dreamcast it says "please insert game disc" when i try to play it. i have tried several different games and i always get the same outcome, same with the utopia boot cd. my dreamcast was manufactured in september 2000. any help would be appreciated

I've only tried downloading one game, but I'm afraid I'm going to end up having the same problem. Discjuggler won't download for me, always says I need to reboot, so I use alcohol. Maybe it's just the dreamcast?

i just got a dreamcast today made in 1999 umm do u make the boot disc the same way u make the game cause thats what i just did just thinking that you had to do it that way i donno well anyways did i do it the right way or wrong i havent tryed it out yet cause i dont have any burnt games so far

You never made it clear how to burn multi part rar files. I am attempting to burn Jet Grind Radio, and have downloaded and extracted all 3 cdi files. Alcohol 120% does not merge them automatically. What should I do?

when over 700 is best to click overburn if you use disc juggler. also guys try dcisozone it has all working links and tells the format

I downloaded shenmue disk 1 from kalisto.

burned it with discjuggler and alcohol, both copies didn't work...when I put the disc in my pc it only reads 1 file: track 01 cda...and my dreamcast doesn't recognize the disc as a game disc...

For non 7 zip 2 part games, do you have to extract the first icon in the second part like you did in the other video? Also, on the snesorama forums it says something about mdf mds being related to alcohol 120 %, and that they weren't good or something.

all i can tell you is try a different brand of cds like memorex or something or check yourr settings you can also try useing diskjuggler it's just as easy

I got myself a Feb. 2000 DC and it works. It rocks, the DC is cheap, you can backup games to avoid ever ruining any new ones you actually find plus you can still buy NEW DCs.

Nero. Supposedly newer versions of Nero won't work, but I burned an NRG with Nero 8 and it works perfectly.

Just load the .nrg into Nero, turn the burn speed down and burn. Worked for me.

I don't know, but it worked fine for me. I don't think burning Dreamcast games even need any special settings.

It seems as if you used a boot disc for nothing since you could have just opened your DC with no Disc inside to get to the menu. Sorry if it's not the case since I use Utopia when the game isn't SelfBoot.
