"And babies who sneeze fudgsicle juice!" That was when I lost it!!! I had to rewind to hear the last part because I was laughing so hard. Dixie Carter you are so very, very missed. Rest In Peace, dear lady.
im from Richmond, Virginia and when I visited Atlanta in 2003 it did not feel even remotely southern to me. Ironically, I live well north of Atlanta and we're a lot more like the "old South". Although Atlanta was never really a truly Southern city. It was settled by northerners mostly.
@applesauce2100 Originally no. But after 1860s, many Northern occupants stayed in Atlanta. Same thing happened to the Northern Virginia/DC area. They never left since.
The only thing that irks me about ppl that live in tourists areas and complain about tourists is that im sure at some point they visit another area and become that place's tourists.
Here's one Yankee, flag-flying Republican that cheered when Julia finally had ENOUGH and gave the history lesson and the marching orders to the intruding slobs! Brava!
It has always been my observation that there are a number of actors and actresses in this world who have what I like to call the "perfect theatre voice". Its these types of voices that just take centerstage and command attention. Dixe Carter definitely has it. Other actors that I feel could easily fall into this category would be others like Talullah Bankhead, Bea Arthur, James Earle Jones and that Ajay Mehta from those Fiber one commercials. Thanks for sharing.

I loved that get up MaryJo was wearing and the hat just set it off. It reminds me of little BoPeep

I love the moment Julia snaps.
She was going to put up with it and deal, until that ill mannered tourist uttered those two deadly words. And then, "that's itttt"

I have to say that Julia's little tantrum made me very happy :~) I'm a modern Southern Belle and yes, that myth does get a little old.

@VASINGER I dont think the native Atlantans would agree with you, by saying it was settled by neortherners.

This is hilarious. "...dirty feet, over flowing rubber thongs..." She forgot to mention overfilled fanny packs.
