I think people should be a little more Grateful....if you do not like it, then don't use it..Make your own internet access to share your videos, and watch for free...Youtube does a lot for us, to have this available for free.

The lack of choice for older channels is the big issue. Make the new channels beta and let the older channels that got used to how their channels look keep beta. That's a win-win situation for both sides.

Google bought YouTube, and have been slowly turning it into...well...THIS! The crap we have now! Google had the rights to buy it, but, as almost everyone has been finding out, selling YouTube to Google was a big mistake on YouTube's part. If only a miracle would happen to get the original owners back. Then we might not have these problems. But, that will have to remain as a dream. R.I.P, YouTube 2006 - 2007...
If Google hadn't bought youtube, it probably would have gone extinct by now. Youtube is losing A LOT of money on bandwidth, certainly a lot more than what a couple of Paypal employees can afford.
beta channels are not so bad now, they have fixed most of the bugs with it. So now the beta channels will be ok. Actually, my channel is on beta right now, one reason is that its not so bad anymore. Another reason is there is no way of stopping them, like you said its going to happen.
i like the new channels i mean you'll be able to watch everything from your channel witch is really cool, and so what if they are trying to make everything more organized,so sweet.

I really like how people always swear every other word. Yeah, it's just grand. It's also extremely un-necessary. I fully understand why people do it in reality. I find the swearing enhancing my point in the most delicate and beautiful way. I write alot of poems with swearings in them, it's part of the language and it's just silly to reject it as a bad thing.
I'm not a huge fan of the new channel format. You can't see when videos were uploaded and sometimes my browser crashes.
They said the same thing a few months ago, though, set a date and everything, but I was eventually able to switch back to the old format after the first switch. I don't know what to believe anymore. Youtube's administration needs to get it's head out of its fucking ass.
To me it was not a matter of IT but a matter of WHEN YouTube was finally going to push everyone to the new beta. I'm getting used to the beta to be honest so its not as bad as it once was when it started. Still could be better but its not horrible either.
When they were packed with glitches they sucked as I demonstrated in that video. Now they got the glitches fixed and it is a totally workable channel format. Still doesn't change the fact that I like the old style better though.

This is exactly the same as the change in Arch's picture conflict. We are you used to the old channels, so thats why we like them better than the beta channels. If the beta channels had been first, and they were going to change it to the original design, we all would be bitching about it all the same.
I think the biggest deal that people had with the BETA channel was the way it LOOKED. Like myself I'm crazy on designing all my pages like myspace and youtube so I was really upset with the channel BEFORE. But they have really improved. At this point there is transperancy and all the bugs that it had are gone. Trust me that a lot of people that switched to BETA once the changes were made have some of the awesomest looking channels right now! Quit complaining! It's really not bad at all...
That's a good question that YouTube has never come clean with and answered.
They really should explain why these channels have to be FORCED to change. Clearly the majority doesn't like them so there must be a motive to MAKE you change.

When they were packed with glitches they sucked as I demonstrated in that video. Now they got the glitches fixed and it is a totally workable channel format. Still doesn't change the fact that I like the old style better though.

This is exactly the same as the change in Arch's picture conflict. We are you used to the old channels, so thats why we like them better than the beta channels. If the beta channels had been first, and they were going to change it to the original design, we all would be bitching about it all the same.

I think the biggest deal that people had with the BETA channel was the way it LOOKED. Like myself I'm crazy on designing all my pages like myspace and youtube so I was really upset with the channel BEFORE. But they have really improved. At this point there is transperancy and all the bugs that it had are gone. Trust me that a lot of people that switched to BETA once the changes were made have some of the awesomest looking channels right now! Quit complaining! It's really not bad at all...

That's a good question that YouTube has never come clean with and answered.
They really should explain why these channels have to be FORCED to change. Clearly the majority doesn't like them so there must be a motive to MAKE you change.

I don't blame people for being pissed. No matter how you slice this, it is uncalled for that YouTube is FORCING this change. That's my only real gripe at this point.

People listen, but really they aren't. You can tell them exactly whats going on and they still act surprised when it actually happens. I have way too many examples of this, online and off.

What I recommend is for you to just go beta now, and set up your channel beforehand.
