This just tells you that Ford is blowing smoke about their powerjoke engine. And it doesn't last long. I like greendayrules11's coment, and I continue to live by that rule all the time. So far the GM line is amazing for longetivity, as all the fords we have had have died. We hav never owned a Dodge though, so can't say anything about them except for how many I see at the Diesel shop where I work at. They the Fords are our #1 customers! :)

@bigjimmy2225 Easy with the caps on little boy. GM (Chevy, GMC, etc) are raising to the top. They are over Ford. But that's because Ford's helping other companies out. ie. Fiat, they're helping Dodge. That's why Chrysler has started to make their vehicles better. GM isn't helping any company other than itself. Ford laid off people in the 30's then they let more go during the recent recession. But it still is better than having the Government control Ford for 30 years. We did it on our own.

The Fords curb weight is 7965 and the GMCs curb weight is 7495, and for them to be that close down the 1/4 says a lot with an almost 500 lbs difference....................­. i'm just sayin ! But its really about the Ford F150s ecoboost engine, watch the "Ecoboost torture test" and see for yourself a ford v6 vs chevy and dodge v8's with 6000 lbs trailers.

@chapyhappy Actually this test wasn't done by Ford. It was done by PUTC which indapendent testers. The Ford's new 6.2L engine is more powerful than GM's 6.0L any way you slice it. As its already been pointed out the Ford outperformed the GM despite the fact that it has over 500lbs extra weight. But really bickering over who's truck is faster is just childish. They are HD trucks, not drag racers. Who care's which one go's the fastest down the 1/4 mile?

@1chevroletcorvette First of all traction control has nothing to do with this. Dual rear wheel trucks are heavier and that is what make trucks slower. Second, it was a longbed which also increases weight. Third, it was carrying a payload, further slowing it. No need for rude comments I'm just saying that 1,000 lbs of extra weight is a bigger deal than traction control.

Many things are fishy about the Sierra's performance in this video. The sierra dually went faster than the quarter ton UNLOADED. Third, at the end, did anybody notice in trailer towing acceleration that it CUT THE FOOTAGE OF THE RAM GOING AHEAD and then showed it beating the Ford and only talking about beating the Ford. Lying by omission. The tests are on GM tracks and are biased. Ram wins.
