I have to say, even at -20, the car starts well but:

-The radio becomes retarded (When I raise the volume it goes up to 10 then goes back to 0

-I got a bunch of random lights that came out after a minute

-I can feel the oil in the transmission is thick as hell

-The doors are quite hard to open (I think its due to the double gasket, so when air contracts it creates vacuum)

At least its cheap.

two things that prob need replaced, timing belt and the thermostat housing because it still has the plastic one that breaks, other than that, that thing will go far for a long time

@Orangematz HONDA FIT OR YARIS...between the 2 i pick the Yaris....had one for a rental while my truck was getting serviced...GREAT car, very small but very lite...REALLY nice engine with quick response, i was doing 40 on a 25 zone without even trying...its a fast little egg

the fit is also a good pick but since they only came out in 2007 even a 07 model can be expensive, while the yaris has been on sale since 1999, but stay away from the 99-05 models, there a real bore

please do a full video and test drive on a mazda3 or a 2007mazda5.i hate the 2008,2009,2010,and 2011 mazda5.because they don't have better styling like the 2007 mazda5.i also hate the new 2010mazda3 also. mazda was cool when they had the 2007,2008,2009 mazda's, the 2007 mazda5 was more awesomer than the newer mazda5's.

I just rented one for the weekend and holiday to test it out and see if I like it. I have to say I loved it, I thought the car was really fun (surprising after all the crap I heard about these, but you know, as usual YMMV so try it yourself). It actually felt really really solid and well made, but I hope the power train type of stuff is reliable. Oh well, it's what I can afford

@Sauron767 I'm not sure about the new ones but up until early 2007, these things were regarded as underpowered puddlejumpers. The acceleration, or lack thereof, is alarming and the safety is nothing to be excited over. Sort of an underwhelming car really.

If you read the brazilian car instruction you'll see that is necessary press the clutch (not necessary, but correct). The engine works "free" when you press the clutch at the starting.

Ps: I'm brazilian and I've got a manual car.

Why in the USA do you have to press the clutch to start the engine? Here in Brazil almost 90% of the cars are manual and we don't need to press the clutch to start the engine. Weird. LOL. BTW I really enjoy your videos!

What I like about these engines, especially the Civic engines, is that everything's right there in reach for working on yourself, not covered up. It's like it's saying: "Hey, here are my sparkplugs, go head a replace them yourself if your want."

I like the alarm on it. It sounds like a little bird when you lock it. Have you seen the 2010 models? They're pretty sweet. And that car with the squeaky engine probably needed a new serpentine belt real bad.
