  • Always one of my all time favorites.

  • Had the album years ago. Such a beautiful song. Flawless voice. What a talent.

  • Ed Sullivan did a superb job bringing exposure to both Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck to both America and the World.

  • For me one of the best song's

Vergelijk het eens met a man and a woman

  • This is a great version of the song. I grew up listening to Hendrix, Cream, Zeppelin - and this tune still is one of my all-time favorites.

  • sublime

  • its more than suuuuuuuuuuper

  • He is one GREAT singer...

  • That arrangment by Johnny Harris is wonderful !

  • This is what a record should be: Smooth as silk, filled with energy and passion yet laid back. You want a song sung right, give it to Engelbert.

As so often, Engelbert here leaves Sinatra in the dust.

  • Best melancholy song ever. "How could I know your kiss meant goodbye". I'm crying, because this song reminds me all moments of love from my life... Love this song.

  • The best version of this beautiful song I've ever heard.

  • This is my favorit song from Engelbert ! Thank You very very much 45rpmSINGLES !

  • Wonderful version!!!

  • just by this recording alone...you knew this guy was a major talent...great voice..outstanding phrasing....

a true vocal instrumentalist....he should be very very proud of this recording....

  • Many singers have covered this song but I think EH's is the best version. Even after 40+ years when the record/album were recorded.

  • Very nice version

  • I love this beautiful 1967 song which has contributed to Englebert's popularity in the mid-60s. The theme song from the 1953 movie which starrred Deborah Kerr, Burt Lancaster and Montgomery Clift.

  • I love this song........a 1967? song...a very nice version by Englebert Humperdinck that has contributed to his popularity in the mid of 1960s...a theme song from the movie From Here to Eternity (1953) which starred Deborah Kerr, Montgomery Cliff and Burt Lancaster.

  • great singer...i love the originals...sinatra...tony bennett...nat cole...but i have to admit..when this guy came around in the '60's...he was a great addition to that club...

i like this song...and engleberts take on this song is very very good...

nice job...there's a clip with him and dean...and dean was impressed with his singing too..

  • What a classy song, what a classy arrangement. This can only be performed this way by the classiest singer ever! Long live Engelbert Humperdinck!

  • i love it !!!

  • He certainly gave his lips so willingly, how could I know his kiss meant goodbye.. Now I'm alone with only a amemory...

My empty arms will never know why...

Though you are gone this love that you left me, will live from here to eternity...

    Thanks for sharing

  • Divine... its impossible not to love this voice of angel!

    Thanks for sharing

  • FROM HERE TO ETERNITY! Gorgeous song, and let us not forget the Movie! A beautiful love scene on the beach between Burt and Debra.

    Beautiful song, memorable words.

    Thanks for the post.

  • Gorgeeeeeeeeeoooooous voice.

  • Very nice, both song and voice

  • smooooth and sex-ay this guy can do no wrong i will always love anything he touches truly a musical magician way to be enge!!!!!!!!

  • The intro to this song was sampled for Kinobe's "Slip Into Something More Comfortable" - which in turn was used in a beer ad!

The arranger was Johnny Harris who's had a LONG career. He's Scottish and in '72 moved to America, where he's still working today. It took me HOURS on the Interweb to find that out!

I can't claim to be a fan of Enge - but I LOVE the Kinobe track and have wondered for YEARS where the sample came from. Norman Newell? Johnny Gregory? Geoff Love?

    No - Johnny Harris!

  • i vow to love w/o waving... from here to eternity... for lifetime.. lasting.. w/o end...

  • Absolutely totally amazing!!!! Perfection in every way, both the song and the man!!!!!!

  • Thanks for sharing.
