Yea..the UFO is only 1- 3/4 inches in diameter and very hard to control. The shots in this video are only some practice footage that I shot. I've been trying to remake this video, but I can't find anyone who can work the UFO boom. I hope to make the final version soon.

My guess is a 3"-6" mini disc suspended from a boom. You could stabilize it by adding some bungee cord innards (long rubber strings) and twisting them a few hundered times in a drill. Once your, er...*THEIR* craft is up and spinning you might not get the wobble, and it would hold parallel to the horizon better. It helps if their craft is weighted on the outermost edge.

This is a great preliminary shoot. Having said that, better shooting conditions will make this excellent! Although, you may not want to make the aliens nervous.
