Yeah, this video doesn't quite go into all of the factual evidence.  The general was very much against capitalism. That is why he was derided by all of news reports when he came out with this news. The whole thing was ridiculous, a congressional report (of a small committee) was all based on the General's testimony. Nothing else. The person he states he met with testified and denied everything. The report even stated most of it was hearsay.

@ButterflyDragon9 The fact that the man served his nation for 25 years, won two medals of honor for valor and was in favor of putting his country first above everything holds a lot of weight. Smedley did not "hate capitalism" if you read his book War is a Racket, he implicitly states that he was against big business holding the keys of power over the government and becoming so powerful they dictated foreign policy. Do some research before posting factually incorrect statements.
