i played mk2 before and had to fight jade and she was never pail like this. when i played it jade was black or brown like she is in any other game so why is she pail hear.

I'm come from a mixed heritage of different races. 1 of my distant cousins is Filipino and white and she's still as dark as I am. Technically she's Edenian though. Let's not forget that her eyes are solid green, meaning that if someone looked like Jade in real life she would have to be mixed race. But at the end of the day, the Edenians wouldn't have any connection to Africa or the rest of our earth, so our ethnicity labels wouldn't apply to her anyway. She's like this in my version of MKII for the Genesis, perhaps all the SEGA ports got a lazy palette swap of Jade.
I use to think she was white or Asian. Then when UMK3 came out I was surprised that they made her Black.
She wasn't the only green fighting game character that turned Black. Look up B. Orchid from Killer Instinct.

Technically she's Edenian though. Let's not forget that her eyes are solid green, meaning that if someone looked like Jade in real life she would have to be mixed race. But at the end of the day, the Edenians wouldn't have any connection to Africa or the rest of our earth, so our ethnicity labels wouldn't apply to her anyway. Green eyes just may mean that there are white genes present, it doesn't mean the person is mixed race. Genes can pop up up form hundreds of years ago.There are pure Africans with blue eyes. A Light color eyes mean that there's a lack of pigment, most cases mean there are a gene of light skin, but it's not always the case. Black people can have blue or green eyes w/o being mixed.

There are cousins in my family with skin lighter than some white people. But we are all still black. Every African American has something mixed in, so do whites as well, but we all are who we are. Besides the voice actor who they got for Jade in mk 9 is African American. Jade is not white. Why would they use a white woman for jade?

Anyone with darker skin can relate to Jade, including but not limited to black people. Jade's ethnicity is ambiguous. They simply wanted a clone of Kitana with darker skin.
