I tested HTC mozzard with wm7 and was anoying, you can't change the ringtone you can only choose from those already come standard, you can't install shoftware or upload music that didn't came from windows store, and the store is very limited, is also bad that it don't accepts micro SD and the HD space is just 8gb... I was very angry with the device and I changed it for a Android OP one, that is much more flexible, the good point of the wm7 is just the look, is a "buy just from my store!" device

I've been using different model of Windows phones for over 2 years. I really think the new interface of the new OS is totally unattractive, and I heard they won't allow any 3rd party interface software (Like spb shell) on the new OS. Just how many click to get to the programs that we would like to open!!? 4 or 5 steps? Where is the customization!!!???I would prefer something like Android or Iphone or SPB shell that a list of programs can be customize on the main page on our choice.(TG01 user)

Hmmmmm. I think that this will be a very new thing. It looks a bit confusing but whoever gets it will get used to it. I personally like the HTC interface a bit better though. It still looks better than apple, samsung, LG, and the andriod. Apple is just too messy. Samsung is just not very amusing. LG is a pure rip off of the iphone. And the andriod is ok.

The interface does look cool, but it's a bit too complicated for older people, but might appeal to younger audience. I don't see a big advantage of this phone over iPhone in business market. But for teenagers - should be cool

The Idea was good but they messed it up...they should have made it more like windows 7 on the PC, faster,smoother & better than mobile 6.5 and all they had to do was put a nice interface over it the way HTC does
At first glance, the UI can sort of seem confusing, I guess. At least for the Zune HD thats the impression I got. But after using it, it's the best UI I've ever seen and very easy to use as well. This one seems essentially the same with different home screens and being able to swipe to different screens to the left and right. I have a Motorola Droid right now, if I had only knew this phone was coming soon, I would've held off on that purchase because I really want a Windows Phone 7 Series.
but still, somethings has to start from somewhere, so iphone creates the generation for touch-screen os phones, nothin wrong with that. companies are jsut trying to improve on that.

remember its still a prototype. Notice they didnt show anything beyond the most BASIC menu architecture. Obviously that was voice recognition and it hasnt been comepletely smoothed out yet. If this was a final product, then i'd be concerened.

Actually it is, from the onscreen keyboard right on down to the one button on the bottom. Anything that comes out along these lines is an iPhone wannabe. That's not me being a fanboy, it's just fact. If not for the iPhone there would be no incentive for this type of OS or phone. The success of the iPhone is what is driving the development of new touch devices. I've messed with a few smartphone os"s in the past 2 years and I have to say i hated winmo 6 the most and their damn resistive touchscreens (its just my opinion but touchscreens I have to use a stylus on might as well not market themselves as touchscreens), I'm guessing they still use resistive but at least winmo 7 looks alot more promising

Yes, it did seem to have a few issues but he says its a "prototype device" and also its "early software" so when this gets closer to its release date the problems will hopefully be taken care of.

The Idea was good but they messed it up...they should have made it more like windows 7 on the PC, faster,smoother & better than mobile 6.5 and all they had to do was put a nice interface over it the way HTC does

At first glance, the UI can sort of seem confusing, I guess. At least for the Zune HD thats the impression I got. But after using it, it's the best UI I've ever seen and very easy to use as well. This one seems essentially the same with different home screens and being able to swipe to different screens to the left and right. I have a Motorola Droid right now, if I had only knew this phone was coming soon, I would've held off on that purchase because I really want a Windows Phone 7 Series.

as a prototype thats still a little buggy it still looks great kinda leaps ahead of apple the iphone cant do live anything because the battery is so pathetic I cant wait till the market of phone makers get together and start producing these phones theres gunna be about 7 phones out there to choose from and their speaker phones will actually work noone can deny the iphones speaker is total garbage I know from experience It cant be heard outside in public

As a current Windows Mobile user and a Zune HD owner, I have to say that I'm not impressed with Windows Mobile 7.
I'm almost 100% positive that I'll be switching to Android when I buy my next phone.
I'm sorry, but Microsoft missed the boat in the mobile department.

M$ will sell this phone late this year. They said "September" but we know all that's mean December 2010 or January 2011.. iPhone 4G will be out in july 2010, and when M$ will start to sell its WP7, we will be "speaking" about iPhone 5G and Android 3.0!!!! It's too late to propose something who can't compete with phones issued last year!!!

remember its still a prototype. Notice they didnt show anything beyond the most BASIC menu architecture. Obviously that was voice recognition and it hasnt been comepletely smoothed out yet. If this was a final product, then i'd be concerened.

and i would like to say windows mobile phone's look like a spy gadget or hacking device, whn i took my WM 5.1 phone in public some ppl think dat i was hacker or something and i was totally suprised by the ppl comment's on phone whn windows relsead der first phone only executive clss ppl had dem at dat time , u now see dese phone in bus, now dat's more surprising to me, bcos once windows mobile phone was part of rich status. now dey are nothing.

As much as I like MS I don't think that I've replace my $800 (AUS) iPhone unless the 7Series Phone is something totally out of this world, and so far I haven't seen anything to convince me, and I'm sure that there are millions of like minded people out here in the real world thinking the same.

Actually it is, from the onscreen keyboard right on down to the one button on the bottom. Anything that comes out along these lines is an iPhone wannabe. That's not me being a fanboy, it's just fact. If not for the iPhone there would be no incentive for this type of OS or phone. The success of the iPhone is what is driving the development of new touch devices. It is, literally, other companies wanting that success and therefore, these devices are iPhone wannabe's.

I've messed with a few smartphone os"s in the past 2 years and I have to say i hated winmo 6 the most and their damn resistive touchscreens (its just my opinion but touchscreens I have to use a stylus on might as well not market themselves as touchscreens), I'm guessing they still use resistive but at least winmo 7 looks alot more promising

Yes, it did seem to have a few issues but he says its a "prototype device" and also its "early software" so when this gets closer to its release date the problems will hopefully be taken care of.
