The Magisterium is the parralel Catholic church, The last pope moved the church to Geneva, and when he died, none of the cardinals stepped foreward to take his place. The church disolved into a series of organisations and colleges. The most powerfull is the Board of Inquisition. They bond the conglomeration and effectivly run it. Marissa Coulter sought power through it and played on the fear within the church, and set up the General Oblation Board.

4 religious resons. even though this is like the 1 book in the trilogy that had nothing to do with killing the Authority. and its really stupid cuz the books arent really all that bad. again, im cristian and i dont care. i LUV these books!

Amazing film . It´s a shame that we probably won´t watch the sequels because of the film´s poor reception in the U.S, especially now that the Vatican considered a bad influence upon children. 0 to 10 : 7

its a bad influence for the vatican because it goes against the church if you go deeper into the books youll notice that the author was an athiest it might make you believe in nothing and change your mind about your religion, if you have one. i havnt seen the movie but it looks really good and i do want to see it. it is a shame though that there really might not be a sequel
