  • another dislike, thanks to me

  • uhm...a I the only one who thinks that this is not in rythm for most part?

  • @MisuOfArabonaClan that's 3 grammat mistakes but Im drunk

  • I want this video on my N620 phone.

  • Rest in Peace Mark Reale 1955 - 2012

  • Great stuff but what always kept me from buying a Riot album were 2 things A) I never heard them with the exception of 'Born In America' video on Mtv B) I thought these album covers with the ferret or whatever it is were just dumb so I never bought an album & tried them out, I gravitated towards bands with cool album covers like Maiden, Slayer, etc.

  • @AngryAgain Hate to say it, but that decision was then not the best 1.... But make it undone and buy the album !!!

  • now this sucks. Mark Reale died from Crohn's disease yesterday at age 56. One of the best hard rock bands ever, if you haven't listened to much, you gotta check out everything folks have put on here from riot. You will be amazed that one of the best you will ever hear put out such great stuff, and you never knew about them. God Bless Mark, Guy, and the folks who think this band was so kickass awesome.

  • R.I.P

    MARK REALE

  • R.I.P. Mark Reale

    We'll missed you

  • This song perfectly represents the early generation of speed heavy metal. A fantastic piece of work that deserves all the likes and not a single dislike...

  • R.I.P Mark...

  • R.I.P.

  • R.I.P. MARK.

  • R.I.P. Mark Reale!

  • R.I.P. Mark Reale...

  • So fucking HARD!

  • MARK-I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER!!!

  • ywg was here

  • Thanks eddy trunk and T.M.S cool sounding band....

  • Imagine if Riot got Eddie and Iron Maiden was stuck with the half man half seal guy. This band could have been so much bigger with different album covers. Whoever thought of that silly mascot should be locked up. Or sued. Maybe even beaten. Rediculous.

  • @rovibe GREAT BAND AND SONGS THOUGH,THATS WHAT MATTERS

  • TMS Those guys have it so right they always state what we already know if your a true Metal Head you have heard of Riot they kick SO MUCH ASS!

  • thank you TMS for turning me onto riot

  • Sounds like another band from NY "The Rods"

  • This album is one of the greatest metal albums ever made. It's right up there with Operation Mindcrime, Mob Rules, and....well there are several other that are great, but you get my point. Mark Reale is one of the most under rated and under appreciated guitarists in rock history. Restless Breed is another gem, and I love the late great Rhett Forrester, but Fire Down Under is their greatest work. (The later speed metal Thundersteel era just doesn't hold up.)

  • This video is a favorite on Trinidad and Tobago

  • I think is a great song in the world of heavy alla by 1980s made me vibrate with colleagues that the uproar caused it one animal greetings forever

  • i thought these guys would be the best metal band in the history of metal, wrong again

  • My number 1 favorite Album of all metal time!!! Way ahead of their time Reale and Speranza and the rest of Riot should have been super stars!! They have always been in my book.

  • finally... this fucking LP is mine!!!!!!!

    Riot is the fucking beast!!!

  • I never gave them a listen because of the album cover, born in America rocked and thundersteel were pretty good.

  • @oilyfresh You need to listen to Restless Breed. It's the same vocalist as Born In America (Rhett Forrester) and is better. Still...nothing compares to Fire Down Under.

  • Not under rated by me. This was a majoe inspiration.

  • haha apparently capitol dropped riot after deeming this album "too heavy".awww poor baby do we have to turn it down for you? fuckin chumps

  • @FunkKlock ha,ha!!! couldn't a said it better myself....pussies!

  • A no-BS bunch in a time when hair bands began to be the norm. These guys are not bouncing up on their fashionable Converse sneakers.Nah, this is more UFO -- they are pushing not pulling. Check out the drummer. This is a breed of "for the moment" rock. i admire them for being honest and talented, though they just went about their businesss and weren't big on hype.

  • @freethinktherefore The drummer on this album was Sandy Slavin. He also did some work with Ted Nugent, among others. I agree with your comparison to UFO. No nonsense, ballsy, hard rock, without all the glam bullshit. Two of the greatest bands in hard rock history! (Don't forget Thin Lizzy! LOL)

  • This is in my top 5 greatest albums ever

  • Saw Riot supporting Saxon in Cardiff in '82. So impressed I went back to Cardiff a few days later and bought "Fire Dow Under". To my delight I got a copy that had the cover signed by all the band!!!

  • Greatest rock album ever made!!! Hands down and it is not even open for discussion!!! Not a bad song on the album and it will scramble your brain!!! A must listen for anybody who liked to rock out in the 80's

  • Riot holds place with those who know

  • This band rocked!!

  • The most underrated US heavy metal album of all time - still not get why these guys never made it to bit time. Anyone comparing this to Quite Riot should have his head checked.

  • The only thing I can figure is that there "baby seal with a human body" album cover freaked people out

  • ONE OF THE MOST UNDERATED ALBUMS OF ALL TIME EVERY HOME SHOULD HAVE ONE TODAYS BANDS ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO THIS SLICE OF AWESOME METAL............

  • @bluepowder2008 I totally agree I was lucky enough to see RIOT warm up for SAXON and KROKUS great show very underrated band. I think they caught a bad break when QUIET RIOT came around, maybe a little confusion around the name. Q.R. could never come close to RIOT I far as I'm concerned. Good to see there are still people like you out there that know their shit!

  • @gern83 I seen the same show back in Odessa,Texas years ago. Went out the next day and purchased this album and have it to this day. I will go to my grave claiming that this album is by far and away the greatest hard rock album ever produced. It is a mainstay in my collection and stored on my flashdrive forever. i feel sorry for the people who never heard this album or got to see these guys in a live show. I challenge anyone to find a harder hitting album than this one!!!! Cant it doesnt exist!

  • Que pedazos de cantantes que ha tenido este grupo por dios

  • Is this song about herpes?

  • Firedown Under and Restless Breed are both MUST HAVES for any Metal fan!!

  • Definately underated geniouses!

  • That pisses me off!, when you type in "Riot" in Google and Paramore come up first... fuck off.

  • STUUUPID BLOODY TUBEFUCK!!! accept the comment!!!!!

  • 3 letters: OMFG (ok,4)

Honestly i bought this album in early 80's just by chance and i have listened to sabbath and stuff since i was 7-8 y old, and i must say i still get blown away by this album..no matter how many bands I love and how impossible it be to choose the best album alltime... If i had to pick one its most likely i choose this 1.

godammit it rocks so crazy good oldschool style.

I got a comment from a nerd try to tell me Blind Guardian is music (honestly what a poor generation)

  • @AngryPostmanSthlm Great description of this masterpiece ! It's also one of my alltime faves. And also right about the BG-guy, but can we blame him ? If he turns on the radio will he ever hear this superb song ? You really have to be lucky to find this song on YT.

  • @AngryPostmanSthlm ...wait, whats wrong with Blind Guardian in your opinion?

  • @AngryPostmanSthlm Blind Guardian's great, though. Not much like Riot at all, but not a bad band by any means.

  • all the album is awesome . Just before Metallica , Slayer , Megadeth , but short recognition . I have a title on the Monster of Rock compilation 81 , "road racing"

  • My bad. The 80's did a lot to impair my memory. I love the music from that time. I saw Raven in'87 I think. I think they were with WASP. If you have time check out my channel TheEWFX29 it has a lot of rock from the 60's until now. Unfortunately no Raven yet, but I do have Riot. If you like it subscribe. Well again thanks for the knowledge. Hope to hear from you again.

  • 878 commando I think Raven are from Canada.

  • @TheEWFX29 raven are from newcastle iwas in sam class as the brothers

  • @TheEWFX29 hi dude Raven are from newcastle upon tyne i used to go to school with the two bothers

  • Does anyone have and video or concert footage of this band?

  • been listening to this for ages love it, we have a few riot albums-love this band

  • lalocuello me preguto? hay algo mejor

  • I played the hell out of this record!!! Such great music that was very well crafted and excecuted! That's o.k that they weren't the next chart topping Whitesnale , it's good to have bands that not every comercial loving, bubble smacker knows about.

  • first rock band I ever heard. Fell in love with rock on that day.

  • THE MOST UNDERRATED BAND ----------------------EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • THE MOST UNDERRATED BAND ----------------------EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • how many people here looked up this band when you listened to them on the brutal legend game. I love them now.

  • @lonerocker08

    none i guess? Lol

  • @lonerocker08 you to lol

  • totally underrated......

  • 5/5

  • wow .....with this awesome album cover i wonder why they are underrated!!

  • @PSK43 Don't make fun of seal man. Fear the seal man. Also fear the half seal man.

  • I remember when this album, hit the music stores,in the uk

It just blew everything else out the water, every track was awesome

  • LOL to say this is "THE MOST UNDERATED ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME" is such utter Bullshit lol these guys kick ass!!! however it so so cliche to say that it cracks me up. there are soooo many bands that fall into the exact same category, seriously I can name 5 bands off the top of my head that are local bands from back in that era. These guys kicked ass!!! no doubt about it. but to say they were the most underated ever of all time in the entire universe???? seriously ...BUT A DAMN GOOD BAND THEY WERE

  • as an Englander I always like to talk about how much we invented metal and how euros do it better, but Riot always makes me feel much less sure of myself when I say such things =P

  • some body send them some money!!!

  • classic heavy metal at its finest!

  • How did these guys go unnoticed? Must have been all that disco crap at the time. Only American band which could punch it up with the NWOBHM acts of the era.

  • same way no one new of Tank!! even though Sodom covered Tank's song Dont walk away on their break threw Agent Orange album in '89

  • *through

  • Comment removed

  • kickass song, but whats that thing on the album cover? it looks like a cat owl wookie lol

  • burn down the house guys

  • greatest song under 3 min :D

  • best fuckin band out of new york

  • God, can Mark Reale play or wot!? Fast and furious! 30 some years ago, fucking pioneering work!

  • @sandemn Which idiot gives this man thumbs down ?

  • @Bridge1961 right your account is 1961 so 48 2 years ago i was in a record shop and saw a album from riot from the beginging to the end full of power just the same as mid 1970 do they are there still playing? greeting from Fryslan

  • The mascot is a summo wrestler with a seal head.

  • Love this band, and i love this album cover, cuz it cracks me up hahaha but fucking awesome song!

  • GREAT KICK ASS R&R thanks for the post

  • Still smokin' almost 30 years later - what an album and song!

  • if I'm not mistaken Murikov, the band-mascot was a baby seal....but maybe I could be wrong...all I remember is that this album kicked ass back in the day...Fire Down Under, Swords & Tequila, and the Outlaw were 3 of the best songs from that decade, imo....

  • Yep. You got it. That's the mascot lol.

  • I absolutely love these guys. The best pure Rock & Roll band/album ever... PERIOD.

  • Can somebody tell me who or what that band-mascot is???! Looks like a white owl with a pinnipeds face! Anyway, great band and song!!

  • except maybe fuckin amazing song and band

  • holy shit i dont even know what to say

  • No band better-ever AMEN!

  • Guy was the man RIP

  • Totally agree with bluewave189. Especially when Guy Speranza (R.I.P) was in the forefront. Rhett Forrester (R.I.P again) helped the band to access to a broader audience, but we miss Speranza's voice and energy

  • riot fire down under , fucking rocks !!!!

  • The most underrated band in rock history. Today, there is a big push to label Anvil as the most underrated rock band. I happen to disagree with this line of thinking. Riot is by far the most talented and underrated Rock band there ever was in rock history. These guys were awesome on tape and as equally great in concert. There needs to be some type of recognition for these guys since in my opinion were one of the greatest rock bands in the late 70s and early 80s.

  • So true. Especially this album. Absolutely groundbreaking for its time. I remember reading magazines that didn't even know how to label them.

  • I agree that Riot is one of the most, but there is tons of underrated bands. Manilla Road, Savatage, Sir Lord Baltimore...

  • @bluewave189 and all the famous bands are overrated lol

  • @bluewave189 Anvil and Englands Raven were still very "ignored" I think, and Pentagram and Saint Vitus, but I agree, Riot deserve more appreciation. : )

  • @bluewave189 You are so,so,so,so right!!!! This is the music I grew up to love!!! To bad we do not have "good music" like this anymore!!! My heart bleeds! Bring it back please!

  • @bluewave189 Anvil were underrated as a band. There is no disputing that. But Riot were a huge milestone in the movement between the typical American arena rock (meh) and American heavy metal, along with other bands like Montrose and such. So yeah, Riot were and are probably the most underrated heavy metal band, and definitely the most underrated American heavy metal band

  • @bluewave189 anvil and riot both of my favourites i dont care ^^

  • @bluewave189 That's true' sadly it's my 1st time that I'm listening to this band, and I'm surprised that I never heard them before, but it's better than nothing

  • saw these guys at port vale in i think 82 with ozzy and motorhead awsome

  • Fucking GREAT band. Guy is awesome!

  • el hombre focaaaaa!!!

    THE SEAL MANNNNNNNN!!!

  • speranza has a great voice, quite unique sounding

  • RIOT is one of the best hard rock bands period. Their music is still strong to this day. I had some of the best times of my life to their songs. Fire Down Under and Restless Breed are definitely signature albums, but all their work is amazing. I love this site for bringing great music back into my life. Thanks hansichecker for posting this!

  • Great band and song!

  • i have something to say to all of you confused boys:

RIOT IS NOT QUIET RIOT.....check out wikipedia.

  • Best Albums Ever?

    Riot: Fire Down Under

    MSG: Assault Attack.

These two defined my music world. Both AMAZING.

  • This album ROCKS!! it fit the time and attitude when I was growing up...Good times!

  • One of the greatest hard rock albums ever!!! And... I LOVE that little white half Rat half Ferret creature as their mascot. Whatever the fuck that thing is lol... :-)

  • ITS A BABY SEAL FACE

  • Your caps locked is on quit screaming...

  • With Sandy Slavin who now plays in Ace Frehley's rock band?

  • @ Kodiak 1966, love en promoted this album as well. the best 80' album with Y & T ' Earthshaker !

  • This just fucking rocks so hard!!!!

  • loved this album. I was lucky enough to see them at Port Vale, in 81 I think.

  • I saw them there too. Me and my friend had backstage pass. Guy Speranza gave me fish and chips. Great blokes.

  • This whole album kicked serious ass in early 80's and still does today! I remember I used to tell people about Riot and how good this album was...and they all would say.."you mean Quiet Riot?" That used to piss me off..I'd say "NO" I said Riot ! Damn...I hated Quiet Riot!

  • Yeah, Kodiak, you're absolutely right. Quiet Riot is for me glam/hair/gaymetal.

  • quiet riot sucks. don;t know how they made it to the top of the charts. should havd being riot all the way

  • @kodiak1966 dude quiet riot was good

  • @Mrmetal770 ...but Riot was GREAT! Peace

  • @DiamondDEK true

  • @kodiak1966 The same thing happened to me all the time. I thought it was because I was a female & others didn't think I knew what I was talking about ~ Riot Rocks!

  • awesome!

  • Aaarghhhhhhhh !!! What a fantastic song !!

    Overall a fantastic album !

Really a pity I never saw them live.

  • define rock these days

  • Only place i've found this before. Can't remember how many doobs and beers I used to go through listening to this excellent music circa 81-84

  • I'm going through lots of chronic and beer these days listening to RIOT!!! I'm soooo sad that I only discovered this band a few months ago. I can't get enough of em!!!!

  • this kicks ass!!

  • Oh, trust me I know who Riot is!!! I'm 19 and my world revolves around this shit..hell yeah LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL!!!!!!

  • Riot kick so much damn ass. I wish the youngings knew who they were..

  • I'm a "younging" and this music is pretty much the best.

  • im a youngling and no who riot is

  • one of the best HARD ROCK band ever.....
