There were two reasons i didnt let him count down, the first was i didnt want him to tighten up his abs, this would have cause more damage and the 2nd was i didnt want him to flinch and try to move out of the way, this could mean the round could have hit him in a more dangerous area which we didnt want to happen. And again, we were testing the effects of the round.

Let me make something clear, we were testing out a riot control grenade, a good Soldier always tests his equipment before using it in combat. We needed to see the effects of the round in order to place well aimed shots on enemies so as to only disable and not kill. Do you criticize Police Officers for testing tasers or pepper spray on themselves? No, it’s part of training, so get over it! You also have absolutely no room to talk trash if you have never served in a combat zone.
