Prophet (pbuh) is dead, when he died, it was announced that he is dead, his companions acknowledged he is dead. We find no evidence of his companions referring to him in any other manner. @Rauydian On the night of Isra and Miraj the Holy Prophet s.a.w entered the Masjid al-Aqsa and it was there that he met Ibrahim, Musa, Isa and the rest of the Prophets (pbut). They all gathered around him and they all proceeded to get ready for Salah. Those Prophets died long before the night of Isra & Miraj, yet they did salah behind the Holy Prophet saw. Death from this world is but a split second occurence for Prophets, their souls are returned instantly in the next life by Allah swt.

@19Lion8 Christian did the same thing, they read in between the lines and derived their theology from it and misguided people. The whole incident is miracle and we need to take it as such, and we don't know what capacity they interacted in. Extending its meaning beyond that is inviting fitna, where now people are equating Prophet (pbuh) with God and buying plane tickets for him etc. Like I said companions did not extend its meaning beyond a miracle and that is it.
