I can see how players who constantly raid would find trash annoying. They're farming the boss drops, so trash mobs are just in the way. However, to players who don't raid so much (like me) it makes for a challenging environment. And like what was said, it's practice. Trash can be an indicator of just how ready you are for the bosses. Maybe Blizz should offer a new future option where you could 'turn on' or 'off' the trash mobs, to appeal to both groups of players.

@belad0nna I think they mean 'annoying' in contrast to the boss fights. Sometimes the trash mobs are more complicated than the actual boss is.

@00D00 Which would help some players be better prepared for the bosses ;) Still, I think if Blizz could implement an on/off feature for trash mobs that might be a happy medium for players who don't mind the trash mobs and the players who would rather not have them present at all. Of course that would ruin the baron 45 run in Strat, if it's still there (don't judge, I haven't played in awhile).

Blizzard uses trash as a learning tool for bad players. They often are there for you to see boss abilities before you actually get to the boss. Teaching people how to deal with some abilities. They are also there for you to waste your time... More time spent playing = more money for Blizzard.

I disagree with the notion of having no trash, if you just entered a dungeon and killed a boss, then another boss, then another boss etc... they wouldn't feel like boss fights.. killing all the shitty trash is like a lead up to the boss, and since the boss fights are more interesting, the boring trash fights enhance that feeling. Plus it adds to the atmosphere of the dungeon, the more mobs in there make it feel like some epic boss's huge army. So I think trash is actually quite essential.

its a guild loot system. whenever you attend the raid you gain points you can then spend on the boss loot via bidding.

Stronger trash is a sorta warmup, let's you get back into your raiding mood and play style, make sure you aren't missing anything ie flasks, auras, and orchids filler that adds a bit of depth and scale. It's very much for scale, make the bosses seem impressive. And ofc boe's

Trash gives the raid something else having a mix of raids with and withouht is nice but someone did say that the bosses are the leaders and the trash is their servants defenders. Like looking and BT the trash gave the raid a better feel and the raid wouldn't be as big and epic without the trash and the same with kara and sunwell.
