  • What if im wearing jeans?;)

  • very impressive

  • I can see this guy being underestimated in a street fight and kickin some tail.

  • I was scared....

  • any of these snap kicks to the face will do damage, but thats my opinion, cheers

  • ja man killla jetzt bin ich bruce lee

     !!!

  • I wanna see this guy 15 or 20 years down the road.

  • Makes me wanna cry, I neeeeeeeeeed to work on my flexibility.

  • Nice footwork!

  • as the great bruce lee said ... the best way is the one that works for you ... some people cant develop too much power from snaps but they can break bone from long rotating kicks and vice versa

  • the guy is good , the kicks are great ... one problem ... the shoes , its not good for you or for showing technique to have shoes on

  • every martial arts disciplinehas its advantages and disadvantages to kicking techniques, so i personally study many different forms of martial arts so that it reduces and sumtimes eliminates these disadvantages, the best technique is to have no technique

  • why did you have a back pack on? im suprised it didnt throw your weight off

  • Thats fuc...g fast...

  • whats the name of the kick called at 0:25?

  • Elastic Steel - that's awesome :D

  • chinese shaolin kungfu or keet kune do is the best as they cover all the aspects and are very usable in real life(street fighting). taekwondo is like just doing stunts, karate only focuses on hits and kicks, muay thai focuses too much on attacks and might expose your body if you are not too mastered. However, martial arts are about self-defence and self-discipline, not to beat some guys' ass up. Besides, no matter which of them you learn, it doesnt differs much, what differs is your own skills.

  • @yukikazeswd sorry it's jeet kune do* not keet

  • Comment removed

  • @iMisogynist i am not really sure about that as i joined karate for 2 years and i went till purple belt but i didnt learn much locks or throws, but as long as we have speed, locks and throws fail

  • @yukikazeswd not if you do judo :L karate is over rated, it was developed by fisherman :L mauy tai or kickboxing is the best fighting style

  • itt: people you wouldn't fuck with. i choose this guy

  • your jump spin hook kick looks fatal, cant see many people blocking that lol

  • I love violence.

  • looks sexy :)

  • the mans a machine, just like Van Damme

  • Spinning back kick has a good chance of getting you killed in a real fight Armoredcore. Never turn your back to someone in a real fight not even for a second. I would sugest to not even try kicking to the head. That being said this guy does have very good ability I certainly would not want to get on the wrong side of him.

  • @CichlidAsh It really does depend on the situation. I've been in plenty of real fights, and trust, it's not something they always see coming. If you're not going up against a seasoned fighter, there will likely be delay enough for you to recover and face the opponent while they're realizing they can rush you. I speak from experience when I say that back kicks can be helpful, but you need to be extremely careful when performing them and make sure to do it as swiftly as possible.

  • @CrimsonKumiho I am not saying that the kicks would not ever work but as a rule turning your back to an oponent in a street fight can be really dangerous for yourself, it only takes a second to rush you and in a street fight you never know what the other guy knows or more important if he has a concealed weapon such as a knife. If the guy does rush you and your back is too them then its really bad. Still if you want to risk turning your back and can pull it off fine but please be careful.

  • You should use muay thai AND snap kicks. Why limit yourself?

  • i'm never messing with that guy lol hahah

  • You say snap kicks dont hurt that much? I have been hit with some pretty hard snap kicks that did not feel good, no sir. With a snap kick its more about where you place the kick. A snap kick to a knee or to the abdomen will drop a person. I have trained in BJJ and kickboxing for 15yrs and have been in several mma fights and can tell you that a strong snap kick can be extremely painful no matter where it is placed.

  • nice work! that reverse is rapid

  • not bad

  • Beautiful man!

  • pro

  • do you offer private training

  • ur kicks are powerful man.i can see the power.but from the way u kick i can tell its karate.

  • y r u kicking with your foot sir?

  • snap kicks arent that great in a fight...dont hurt too much.....spinning back kick though....yes it would hurt a lot. thai kicks are better in terms of power and damage

  • @armoredcore671

    Thank you for your opinion.

  • @armoredcore671 right a snap kick has only the weight of your leg but if you put your whole body in it it will be way more effective

  • @armoredcore671 i recon ayy all the karate crap shit is all bull, i do kickboxing and theres this one guy and when he kicks something everything goes silent hes a real good kicker

  • @armoredcore671 a snap kick to the throat or chin can be very effective

  • @armoredcore671 Ever had a snap kick in your solar plexus?

  • @armoredcore671 well snap kiks in my opinion are better cause their rlly quick and u can throw several of them. plus u kik more thn once, alot of thai kiks can easy be blocked since they req. close ranges for the bones to come in contact and can easily be blocked by throwing blade kiks at the shins. thai kiks are very telegraphed

  • @armoredcore671

Well then i guess you've never watched a kyokushin fight. or competed in it. Or ever watched machida fight.

  • @armoredcore671 What you dont get is that almost all standing up martial arts looks about the same when going fullcontact, almost nobody does "snapkicks" in fullcontact anymore, sure some do but only when setting up a combination

  • @armoredcore671 true, however the advantage there is speed and less telegraphing...just gotta' be more accurate with them for them to be effective. Kind of like a jab, use them to set up for that spin back or back leg round kick/thai kick.

  • @armoredcore671 Snap kicks to the groin hurt like hell. When I throw a snap kick. I'm not looking for the balls. I'm aiming past the tailbone. You have to move your hips to generate power. Whatever kicks he's doing above, I have no idea. He's telegraphing everything and there is no power.

  • nice clean kicks....liked it

  • can u please tell me what you put in the back pack dude i need to know

  • @davechargersrt

    Secret government files.

  • lol hahah you funny guy

  • @Bodyweightculturist lol yes and i'm with the CIA, and the president wants the file back asap

  • Cool kicks, besides that flicking heel kick 0:12...never been hit with 1 of them that has ANY power before haha. And I personally think the round house needs to follow through like at 0:09 but spinning all the way round stops you leaving your back exposed when you land...but yeah cool vid man :)

  • Thank you for your comments.

  • wow...this guy looks so natural doing it... i saw this guy's stretching video ... i think that is what makes him so elastic and do all these powerful kicks without any sign of strain on his body . May Allah bless these guys for sharing their knowledge. Ameen

  • Thanks for your comments.

  • hey i do tae kwon do, and i know how to do all those kicks, but I just wanted to say that your technique is very good. Keep up the good work =P

  • Thank you for your comments.

  • I study ba gua and a co-worker studies judo. I was telling him about you laptop and we were trying to figure out why you'd have a laptop in your backpack. Is that you in the demo?

  • Cool. lol

It's Paul Zaichik in the video. His has many unique video on martial arts training. Take a look at ElasticSteel (.) com for more.

  • What's in the backpack?

  • A laptop.

  • I thought it may've been weights.

  • Yes, it's weighted. Was kidding before.

  • My biggest struggle is left mawashi the in head AND the body ... my hipps just dont allow it if you have any advice please tell me

  • Visit PaulZaichik (.) com, post your question in details there. That's your best chance at good advice.

  • As a former Army boxing and martial arts champ I appreciate, respect and admire your training concept and practical approach regarding the fundamentals. Your technical understanding to details is excellent, as is your form.

As a Special Forces operator with over twenty years of combat experience,I have had to rely on my CQB expertise related to situational awareness on many occasions to achieve my team's desired outcome. I have trained hard to be efficiently lethal in all aspects of warfare.

  • Thank you for your comment.

  • what is the Special Forces Primary weapon going to be? I heard they are going to use the SCAR-L or are you using the Bushmaster ACR

  • What?

  • 0:07 is my biggest struggle in Kickboxing :S

  • Hook kick or round house kick?

  • hook kick

  • it's taekwon-do fighter?

  • What do you mean?

  • The man who was kicking on the video, he was training or he is training taekwon-do?

  • This is actually an advertising for his DVD series.

Take a look at ElasticSteel (.) for more details.

  • Man, you are good and you're also an inspiration. I wasn't gonna train today but now I have to train after watching you do those awesome kicks.

  • Great to hear Paul has inspired you. We'll pass your props to him.

  • No doubt.

  • Good kicks dude.... you look like a badass nerd.

  • sexy side kick,,,

  • Sexier then a roundhouse lol

  • he also has very strong legs.

  • Guys! Judge the martial artist, not his style. The guy in this video obviously has very powerful kicks. Check for example the side kick on the pad which sends his partner out of the frame. Anyone who says that this guy can´t kick, doesn´t know anything about kicking.

  • it tkd style, and taekwondo kicks much faster then muai thai kicks, maebt not so powerful, but much faster, and if don't know anything about martial arts, better shut a fuck up!

  • CHUCK NORRIS CAN DO IT BETTER

  • Chuck Norris will stare you down, till he does it better then you.

  • it is taekwondo

  • a muay thai trained fighter would really devastate most people with a powerful kick to the legs, or anywhere for that matter.... I've fought for a while now, and these TKD guys/Karate etc... have horrible kicks.. it looks pretty, but no use, or power. I actually don't mind getting hit by these weak kicks.. but against a Thai fighter, I'll move around to try and escape those awesome kicks. This guy has kicks that are in truth, POINTLESS, and try using it against an MMA/THAI fighter. Thanks.

  • Once again my friend. A tank hits harder then a handgun. But you can't always use it. Paul does MT kicks as well. You can't say if his kicks are pointless or not. You fought guys who used those kicks and the they did not hurt. Ok. But you haven't gotten hit by everyone who uses those kicks. Some people can't throw devastating front leg kicks and some can't. There are people who have weak MT kicks as well. That is not true for everyone though. Agree?

  • Yes sir, definitely agree.. I was talking about a well trained muay thai fighter... they're just too well trained, and train 8 hours a day and are incredible. Don't get me wrong, what the guy in the video is doing is still awesome, and takes great skill, practice and after years, still some people can't get half as good.. but for me, Muay Thai, MMA, boxing is still the greatest arts to learn, it's just an opinion, and after training in almost every art, muay thai reigns supreme.

  • Well said. Muay Thai is a great art. Nothing can be taken from that

  • It is not the style that makes the difference, but the fighter. I am practitioner of Taekwondo and has trained with a master Muai Thay from Thailand, and I can say that what will define the power of the blow is the technique, physical preparation, momentum, and various other factors. There is no perfect style, all have failures, and each ocasion will demand a different kind of blow. It is for each fighter decide which is best for him.

And yes, I fully agree with Body.

  • I agree Muay Thai has to be the most powerful of all martial arts. I've taken Kung Fu, and Taekwondo before, but Muay Thai by far is my favorite. I've only been taking it for a year, but I feel stronger and faster than I've ever been. The training is just to intense.

  • Comming from a karate student, i have to completely disagree with you. Muay thai kicks are very good, very powerful, very tough, but they are alot slower than these "pretty" kicks. and with a muay thai kick, if you miss, you have to completely rotate around to face your opponent. with a TKD/ karate kick we have the snap so that if we miss we can still just plant our foot on the ground and keep fighting. not saying our kick is better, but you cant honestly say Muay thai kicks are the greatest.

  • @brayden12345 Your right man,but a message to some other guys here:

If your doing karate to fight at street, you'd better go & join a mma club or be a street fighter.Im 17 & I did 7 years of Judo, now I'm doing kickboxing and after 4 more years I'll have everything to join a MMA club & start joining the tournaments without couple years of basic first.

  • @brayden12345 i have to disagree with you :P no offense tho.. :)

ive been doing tkd before i switched to muay thai.. thai kicks arent slow! tkd has too much of those fancy kicks.. it looks good in movies :) tkd kicks dont do much damage except for round kicks or the"horse back kicks".. im not saying muay thai is the best and everything else is shit.. i respect all styles.. but look at the facts.. K1 champs are muay thai fighters.. mma fighters train a grapling style and..? muay thai! :)

  • @brayden12345 I totally agree with you about the snap kicks. I prefer to snap my kick and be back in fighting position than to have to rotate around to face my opponent. :)

  • @brayden12345 true, I like to train and work on both.

  • I'm a bit perplexed as to how this is training for powerful kicks. Perhaps you can train your body to kick as powerful as the technique allows but the technique is restricting maximum force being exerted. I'm not too biased but a 140lb thai boxer can generate more impact than a 200lb snap kick specialist :/

  • An atomic bomb is more destructive then a machine gun, but it's not always more useful.

  • good analogy actually.

  • I went on the website and the videos are alittle expensive. are there any deals or something. lol im short ion funds at the moment

  • Well, Paul has spend years researching his videos and a year or so putting them together. You get what you pay for.

  • Excellent kicks!!!

Where I can find this dvd?

    Thank you!

  • you can get it at ElasticSteel site

  • wow how long have you been doing what ever martial art that is?

  • Paul Contributes videos to bodyweightculture. If I had to take I guess on how long he does it, I would say around 20 years.

  • Is this Tae Kwon Do?

  • This DVD is not based on style. It's based on the best way to develop and master the kicks.

  • very nice kicks!!!

  • this guy sure is good

  • Some very nice kicks there! Man I still need to do so much more work on flexibility :(

  • i am excited to see this

  • love to see the next few post on this very interesting

  • amazing
