Kim looks absolutely fabulous! I remember watching this show live in 1959 rooting for Susan Hayward to win after her loss for I'll Cry Tomorrow several years earlier.

Susan Hayward was the best and deserved to win for "I Want To Live". She was one excellent actress. Definitely had what they called Charisma. Wish I could have heard her speech on this clip. I was only 7 years old when she got this award. I saw everyone of her movies.

After accepting the award, Ms Hayward along with Kim and Cagney left the stage, but Susan Hayward called back was given the ONLY curtain call I can recall in Movie History when Susan justly won the Oscar for her legendary performance in I Want To Live. Seeing this clip with Bergman, Niven, Dunne, Wayne, Novak, Cagney, and Ms Hayward......bring me back to that Hollywood. They were all superstars and none would be caught dropping the F Bomb. Ever.
