  • The management of the "Tampa Bay Community Network" is a bunch of unimaginative, uncreative, visionless bureaucrats who think bland talk shows where people get dressed up and talk about "issues" is compelling TV, and who help some producers and not others depending on if they agree with the point of view of the program. The channel is pathetic compared to what it once was. A matronly gravel voiced old woman (also station manager) seems to host quite often--she gets paid, but not the crew.

  • Did you ever get an answer on what the phone call was all about? It is clear to me this group does not have any respect for the public that pays for the channels. What I tell my 3 year old, those are very bad people, stay away from them, do not vote for them, as they are "Bad People" and need to go away so the good people can enjoy community TV.

  • Thanks, Eric...Never got a "formal" answer on that call... however after watching this video again I think we ALL know what that answer was. This was vintage John Russell and Mark Adams. If only we had a "legitimate" press to report it.

Hillsborough county is now talking about restarting Public Access TV in a limited format... We shall see what happens. I will be very soon starting my own internet TV Network I will announce here and elsewhere when that breaks out. John R.

  • Save Cable AccessTV!

  • A long battle to keep pa on .When cable was incepted the cos. had to provide time to us and government. Powers retaliated . Producers are commonly mistreated in an effort to have them drop their shows.I have been there as so many before and after e, ACLU represented me they backed off went through back door and canceled my shows,no hearing, required by fcc rules, corrupt RI. Sue them good you have posted these violations they committed. Open shows everywhere, advertise in newspapers!

  • You're in Rhode Island?

The public access system where I live seems to be operating the same way. They make it really difficult for people to get shows on. I want to take over our access channel. Any input or ideas?
