Flying the Apache is the highlight for me of playing Battlefield 2. I just bought Bad Company 2, and it's installing as I type this. Cannot wait to get into the heli. That's all I used to do in BF2, is fly either Apache or the Blackhawk. Love flyin!

An experienced pilot rarely gets hit by a tracer dart, however if he/she does get tagged all they would need to do is deploy the flares and the tracer is gone. Problem solved.

However even the best pilots have a tough time against anti air guns, that's a different topic though.

It seems to me that fyling the heli is easier on the consoles.

The vehicles are clearly shown, and the flying is more smooth. On the PC version nosing down rapidly is the fastest way to crash...

@cocojumb0 No playing with controller is for pro players! Most of the good MW2 players play on Xbox or PS3. Using keyboard and mouse is not better then joystick. With the mouse and keyboard you press the wrong buttom more times. On a controller you know where all the buttoms are and you newer press wrong. I don't get to use mouse and keyboard on my xbox 360. And i amd glad i can't. It just make the game more screwed up. It is better driving and flying with a controller and that is true.

I'm always awesome at flying the chopper too, I can easily fly low and land it. In the first Bad Company you could own with the chopper even more, youd land it and you take a gold crate out within 2 seconds by just shooting it with the secondary gun. Ive played BF1942 and BF2 perhaps thats why its why its so easy for me...

Not every map has air vehicles, and no you dont have to do anything special,

You can pick a map you prefer when you start the game, choos Port Valdez or Isla continent or something like that, these maps both have UAV`s and Helicopters (and sorry for my bad english spelling im dutch) and Arica Harbor also has a UAV in the beginning
