At low speeds, the Nissan accelerates a bit faster due to the lower weight, but at higher speeds, when air drag becomes "heavier" than the car's weight, the more powerful RS6 takes the lead, and the win. With the M5 vs GT-R it was the same story, only by a closer margin.
this race shows that GTR is more capable becasue it took both MTM RS6 and modded M5 at the start. Taking off quickly at start means on brake and go, and slow corners you are going to gain a considerable margin during race.
WOW props to MTM for pushing an extra 150hp out of the RS6 with JUST a chip and an exhaust system! But a $20 000 upgrade for the $80 000 audi would only make sense if i definitely wanted to drive the fastest, most boring looking car in existence!

@666lightbringer666 this is a MTM RS6- it has 730hp, its not a normal family saloon. The GTR is stock with about 480hp. It will be a good idea to race stock vs. stock, but i think a stock RS6 will be no match for a stock GTR (even if the GTR is not a drag race car- its a cornering beast)

Im a fan of almost all cars but it is clear that every vid ive washed concerning the GTR on m5board they have tried to make it look trashy. Great car for money and I havent seen any stock 911 turbos spankin it. Id buy one (R35) and put the balance of the worth of the car its racing into and then we can compare. RS6 is nice tho
It strikes me odd that the speed of which the RS6 passes the GT-R is extremely similar to that of the M5 passing the GT-R in another one of your videos, yet when we watch the video where you posted the RS6 vs the GT-R, the RS6 literally 'destroys' the M5.

RS6 is a 4 door luxury car and you can go to a business meeting with that car. Stock RS6 can loose a rece against GTR but GTR will loose comparison about safety reliability and quality. this race shows that GTR is more capable becasue it took both MTM RS6 and modded M5 at the start. Taking off quickly at start means on brake and go, and slow corners you are going to gain a considerable margin during race.

@666lightbringer666 this is a MTM RS6- it has 730hp, its not a normal family saloon. The GTR is stock with about 480hp. It will be a good idea to race stock vs. stock, but i think a stock RS6 will be no match for a stock GTR (even if the GTR is not a drag race car- its a cornering beast)

Sorry about your GTR but:
-It's main advantage is in corners and especially putting the power down on exit where it's head & shoulders above the best of them.
-In a straight line it's only good for the first half due to it's good initial acceleration AND mega quick shifts.
Once they go into 5th it comes down to raw power and for once it's electronics can't help it.

The GTR is impressive. It is stock (480hp) and the RS6 needs all its tuning up to 730hp to catch up with it and overtake it after some distance.
By the way, a more fair race would be with a Switzer P800 GTR. The MTM RS6 has no chance against it. And I am not just a GTR fanboy :)

Im a fan of almost all cars but it is clear that every vid ive washed concerning the GTR on m5board they have tried to make it look trashy. Great car for money and I havent seen any stock 911 turbos spankin it. Id buy one (R35) and put the balance of the worth of the car its racing into and then we can compare. RS6 is nice tho

GTR is much much lighter and it started first, althought it is an excellent car I wish I had one. I really like the RS6 also.

It strikes me odd that the speed of which the RS6 passes the GT-R is extremely similar to that of the M5 passing the GT-R in another one of your videos, yet when we watch the video where you posted the RS6 vs the GT-R, the RS6 literally 'destroys' the M5.

This is very nice test I don't know why some people are complaining about. What the hell is this stock vs. stock argument? RS6 is a 4 door luxury car and you can go to a business meeting with that car. Stock RS6 can loose a rece against GTR but GTR will loose comparison about safety reliability and quality. I respect RS6 MTM for being reliable, safe 4 door Veyron. I respect GTR because of its value for money, handling and super car speed.

The Audi is pathetic and this comparison is pathetic... The Audi is a car with a supposed 250hp advantage and thats all it could do? pull away slowly at the end of the track? thats a clear indication that from a dig the RS6 would be embarrassed for the most part. Why not compare even a 600whp GTR to this Audi? it would be game over. I like audi's but... for 730hp its looks pretty weak.

Anyone modding the new GTR like that may as well say goodbye to everything that makes that car as amazing as it is. Anything is possible...don't get me wrong. But it would cost as much to get another 200 hp as it would to buy the car new...if not more...and the computer would never be the same.

@gloomn8 I mean this in the most non-offensive way but u dont know much about GTR's. u dont need a link, just search "Nissan GTR Switzer P800" or look to the right of the screen there is a Switzer GTR right there (vs a gallardo). not enough hp for u? Search AMS 1000 hp GTR. More? go to Hennessey site for they're package. Price? 800hp Switzer package is under $17,000. fyi there are many other ecu's for the GTR. Lastly i've been hearing every GTR called Godzilla since the R32 including the R35.

December '07 issue of Sport Compact Car. 2001 Audi S4 competed against equally tuned Skyline GTR, E46 M3, ZO6, STI,G35, Supra. The Audi S4 won all 15 tests and weighed 3550 while doing it on nearly stock fueling and mostly factory Audi parts including it's RS6 turbos. 0-60 was 3.0 seconds flat. There is your ass handed to you. There is evidence and the whole world knows but you. Look it up! Back to the topic...this RS6 (w/ bolt ons) is more impressive to me than a ricer with a folgers can

S4 competing against a bunch a cars, telling me its nearly stock (wtf does that mean? cause that sounds like u mean to say tuned -_-) and it has RS6 turbos? you sound confused. Lastly sayin "0-60 3 seconds flat" means nothing to me cause im not even sure what car you're talkin about. when i told you about the 9.8 sec AMS GTR i made it clear. Put this RS6 up against a GTR SR850/P800 set up and it will lose.

@gloomn8 We're having a convo about THIS 730hp MTM RS6 being compared to an R35 (my argument is this proves nothing because they didnt use a GTR of comparable power so its 1 sided). Going back 3 years and tellin me about Some tuned S4 that beat a bunch of other tuned cars and an R34 has no relevance to any of what we're talking about. Up until yesterday u didnt even know 800+whp R35's existed now that i gave u several examples you go off on a tangent talking about something totally unrelated.

@gloomn8 Horrible comparison, not to mention misleading. The GTR stock hits 60 in under 3.5 seconds. You want to talk mods? There are GTR's that destroy Veyrons now in every category. Take your Swedish garbage with it's electrical problems, unreliable drivetrain, and immediate resale hit. I'll take the car that Lambo's and F-cars are being compared to.

@gloomn8 Oh yea 1 more thing... lol u can go Check out AMS's 9.8 second 1/4 mile GTR R35. how does it run 9's? AMS SR850 Performance kit dyno-ed at 764.8 whp. There is also a SR1000 kit dyno'ed in the mid 900whp range. Compare a GTR with a 700+hp rating to a Audi with a 700+hp rating and you'll see that there is no comparison. GTR would rape the Audi then eat it to hide the evidence :| and thats jus the way it is...

Well the Nissan is about 400+ pounds lighter, and its hard comparing a Saloon to a coupe. The RS6 is a Autobahn car, not a Drag car? So to me this Video proves nothing. The GTR ride is shit.. stiff and the interior is crappy. I would much rather be in the Audi Rs6. There will always be the fanboy GTR lovers and those that like to cruise cofortably at 150+mph
