  • fuck boston and horton. its funny how you boston fans think the bruins are such a good team.

  • All the people that hate the bruins need to shut up... we won the cup and thats it. theres nothing you can do about it!

  • The Bruins are shit-eaters! Go ask Pacioretti who plays fucking Dirty! Cock-suckers! You shit balls took the cock pretty good on January 7th, from my Canucks. I love to watch Horton staring into space when he's on the ground......because these shit-balls can stare into the camera and talk about how dirty Rome played, when they have players like Chara, Marchant, & Lucic slithering through their ranks. Every Boston Players, Coach, Staff, and Fan should go suck a bag of DICKS!!!!!!!!!

    Fuck Boston!

  • @hbfvd Pacioretty has been suspended twice for cheap ass hits u dumb fuck

  • fuck the bruins

  • Fuck the bruins

  • Fuck the bruins.

  • fuck the bruins

  • he the shit kicked out of him i agree it was not clean but he was leveled

  • WHY DONT YOU JUST TAKE HITTING OUT OF THE GAME, GARY BETTMAN AND EVERY OTHER PUSSY IN THE LEAGUES BOARD ARE TURNING HOCKEY INTO TENNIS, TAKE HITTING OUT OF THE GAME, TAKE THE BOARDS OUT AND THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED. OR JUST BRING SCOTT STEVENS BACK!

  • LMFAO LOL

  • Tht dude was trying to knock him out he jumped off his feet, and threw his shoulder at him. He def didnt want it to b late but to throw u shoulder at someones head while jumping is just CRAZY, its equivelent to a punch.

  • @MrVetterBetter feet don't leave the ice until after the collision. Ever see a head on car accident? Rear wheels leave the street, it's physics. Rome didn't jump his momentum carried him and Horton off the ice. The only reason the league called it suspend-able was the lateness.

  • late hit...to the head...blindside...left his feet....but its not dirty? u can ruin some1s career like tht...he should be suspended for longer than tht

  • with cox ill kill you in your sleep. fuck those commericals

  • "That's the way it's always been!", "So-n-so did it to So-n-so in the other game!", "They get paid millions of dollars so they know the risk!", "The guy wasn't looking so he DESERVED it!"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!! This is a discussion one would hear in a 4th grade playground! Or maybe a party of drunk Neanderthal teenagers... Hurting another player shouldn't have anything to do with getting the "biscuit into the basket". And players get millions because the fans pay for the ridiculous ticket a

  • You have your own formula for determining late hits eh, I am surprised an idiot like you can count. Easy decision to make liar, you did what you wanted. Is julien related to Humpty Dumpty, quite the resemblance. And that idiot at the end, yup looks like a real expert. Retards

  • Wow a concussion, and rome gets it in.

Raymond is injured for 3-4months and not even a penalty.

  • @Yasharkilla123 raymond wasnt hit late in the head.. he was pushed into the boards..

  • @xXNotoriousXx31 Raymond didn't even have the puck.

  • @Yasharkilla123 than it should have been an interference penalty.. not a suspension, he got injured by going into the boards awkwardly not getting popped in the head

  • It wasn't that cheap, he finished the hit, that's it. Its the most severe punishment in Stanley Cup Finals history, given to a non-repeat offender. Rome is not know for his cheap play. Normally the NHL would consider that but I'm not sure what happened in this decision. Sure, it was late and his skates should not have left the ice, but when you're in a clutch situation, fueled with adrenaline, the decisions you make, have no more than a second to process. In all, I believe it was way too severe.

  • "I went to a fight the other night, and a hockey game broke out." Trouble is, hockey is a beautiful, graceful sport. I played it as a teen for many years and loved it. I quit when a kid on another team got whacked into the boards, and got paralyzed at the ripe old age of 15. Too much violence is marring an otherwise great game.

  • Canucks should have Taner Glass do same to Tim Thomas; break his neck or something who cares if glass is suspended he's expendable

  • Clean hit. Suspension was unwarranted. Even league said it was legal. Go figure. Sounds like collusion

  • Which one was more late? Chara's against Montreal? Or THIS ONE? hmm..

  • Extremely dangerous move by Rome. What was that loser thinking?

  • @draziom902 He wasn't, not at all. Pure bonehead move buy a tough guy wanna be...

  • Yes it was late but no head shot im a canucks fan. he left his feet but injury was caused because of the head hitting the ice i watched it more than once i never saw contact to the head! Only contact with the head was when Hortons head hit the ice and Bruins fans haha if this was a suspension Charas hit on Pactiorety should of been a suspention he played there enough to know that piece of glass was there! Had to bring that up its true thats all i can say!

  • I hate how this league is too american based. Like fuck, be canadian based for god sake.

  • I'm a Wings fan. They're out of it so I really don't care either way. Late hit for sure, but not sure it warranted a four game suspension.

And I am not sure about all this "admiring his pass" nonsense. He passed the puck. That's what hockey players do.

  • AND HE WASN'T ADMIRING HIS PASS, HE MADE A PASS AND WAS DRIVING THE NET!!! I don't even understand how u guys think that was clean!!! NHL network versus even NBC knows that that was dirty. Cmon guys it's obvious

  • Seriously if one of your sedin sisters got hit like that all of you would be complaining like the sissies you are

  • @Allhockey1 Ben Eager?

  • Bitter rivalry has reared its ugly head. I've been a hockey fan for years, but the league may as well burn the trophy to ashes this time around.

  • so this isn't okay but it was okay when Zdeno Chara ended max pacioretty career! WTF? this was a clean hit

  • @87teehee chara is also a good 5 inches taller than most players so of course he'll hit higher

  • @redrun101 yeah, but he didn't hit Pacioretty in the head, he hit him purposly so his head would hit the post

  • @87teehee yes i say that but Chara he "didnt" know where they were

  • @halo3mwf2lfd2 he looked right at him and shoved his face into the post

  • Check my video for an analysis. Clean hit!

  • Horton shouldn't have been admiring his pass. He should have looked up and gone up the ice to crash the net. Late hit yes. To the head no. Severe injury but could be from whiplash or his melon bouncing off the ice. Solution Horton keeps his head up. The D has been stepping up all series so he should have known a hit was coming. Ah well whats done is done. Lets go good hockey!!!

  • @joemikedoug they always blame the guy that gave the hit not the guy that took the hit, its not the hitter's falt if the player didnt have his head up

  • Claude Julien "We need to clean this game from those hits"....yet when Chara did it, it was fine right? Oh, he didn't know where he was on the ice. Don't gimme that bullshit. If you don't know where you are on the ice when you played that long, your a fucking waste to humanity lol

  • @meowmixinthemix i saw that hit, price even said that if you say you didnt know where you were on the ice then you shouldnt even playing hockey

  • I work with films and not here to start an argument, but the replay in frame by frame in my editor shows that the hit was 0.9 seconds after the pass. Maybe Horton shouldn't have been admiring his pass and maybe Rome should have let up. It's very interesting watching the reports of this incident from the 2 cities involved... Seems like some reports have a bias... Just saying.

  • been a bruins fan my whole life. if someone on my team made a hit like that on kesler or one of the sedin twins (players equivalent to Horton in importance) and knocked them out of the series, i'd understand a 4 game suspension. Rome is no where near as important to his team as Horton is to the Bruins so stop the bitching.

  • @cbenny17 Something like the hit Chara put on Pacioretty where his elbow smashed him into the turnbuckle between the bench and the glass? How soon the bandwagon riding Bruins fans forget..

  • @MartimeJustice That's because Boston fans are idiots...have you seen them? They all look like hicks rofl

  • This is the finals - when the world's eyes are finally looking at the NHL. Do you think they want to come off as a violent sport where causing traumatic injury through an illegal maneuver is acceptable?

  • i agree

  • clean hit? So leaving your feet and putting out ur elbow is clean? Ok, then eating fruits is dirty then right?

  • please don't bring up the Penguins. Yes Crosby's injury was bad but you have a guy on your team who has taken a guy out for over a season and that guy was an all star bruin as well. Marc Savard is in the same situation and no one ever brings him up nationally. Rome headhunted in my opinion but Cooke is a predator. You complain about head hunters because of Crosby and Penguins fans defend Cooke?

  • "at least 1 second"? Hey you little asian fuck, it was 6 tenths of a second from the time the puck left his stick until contact. Your a biased dumbfuck. Source: CBC Tv Feed, VS Tv Feed.

  • @Bosphorus32 the puck was on lucic;s stick before rome even initiated the hitting motion towards horton. i hate the bruins but that was not a clean hit

  • @kjhannin Check my video for an analysis. Clean hit!

  • @kjhannin well at least horton wont be getting any overtime goals

  • @kjhannin it wasnt a clean hit but they both have something that the lost a good foward and a good physical player

  • @kjhannin well a hockey puck travels VERY fast and, even though he didn't get in the motion yet, Rome was planning to hit him. The rule in hockey is 3 strides, Rome took one.

  • @Ironriot11 The 3 stride rule doesnt apply to a hit after a player gets ride of the puck. The 3 stride rule is in place to determine a charge. A charge is not the issue here. but thanks for trying.

  • @Bosphorus32 i love retards like you. you make it too easy. if you watch the actual video of the play, the puck leaves horton's stick at 14:58 and he gets hit at 14:56. fucking dumb ass, that is longer than 6 tenths of a second. i hate fuckheads like you

  • @TheSneakyBadger2447 If you follow tsn , they said that the League reviewed the time between the puck release and the hit which was 30 something frames which is one second & if it's under the "interference" Penalty it has to be 0-15 frames (half a second)

  • @rskwonderv2

    hey look! a retard speaks!

  • @rskwonderv2

you are a dumbass... should have your account revoked for you stupidity. you must be an avid checkers or chess player. stick to it because you obviously don't understand hockey.

  • @bdiddy0810 Wow , dude , you need anger management

  • @TheSneakyBadger2447 Look up the CBC feed, stupid fuck....rather than sitting on your ass watching youtube, cumlips

  • late, by a little. worth 4 games...hell no! the league has been pussied up so bad. murphy even says there was an injury which was why he suspended him...bottom line KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AS YOU CROSS THE BLUE LINE. DRIVE TO THE CAGE LIKE YOUR SUPPOSED TO AND YOU WONT GET HURT. stop admiring your work horton. btw not a Vancouver fan so stop with that crap. im a ranger fan. played the game my whole life....thats a high school hockey call ladies and gentlemen!

  • @frrunkis44 Admiring his work? He was making sure the puck got to lucic, watch the hit again, the whole sequence, before commenting next time.

  • clean hit

    bull shit suspension

  • i love the canucks, but there is no need for this in a stanley cup final. putting out a good player for the finals and urself is dispickable!

  • @backbeat23 so is your spelling

  • I wonder if Fluto Shinzawa has even skated on ice. Predatorial my ass this happened in a half a second. The pass was long gone what a bad comment. I hope he's not getting paid for his two cents.

  • im from canada and i hate the canucks! if they are not making dirty hits they are diving, GO BOSTON

  • OK so if rome hit him lower it might have caused internal problems, nobody thinks about that , horton should feel lucky . I'm in Buffalo and this has happened to Tim Connely half a dozen times and every time he either had his head down or looking at his pass so i did'nt feel one bit bad for him.

  • The Canucks fans are a cancer on hockey. Just look at the comments on here by these losers. They whine and complain about EVERYTHING.

  • Yeah next time just let him skate right down the middle towards the net and score F THAT

  • I'd worry more about players biting off other players fingers LOL

  • I think it would have been dumb for Aaron Rome to do anything else was he suppose to be like hey over here.... Check. horton will probably watch in front of himself from now on.

So what?, if u play hockey with your eyes closed no ones allowed to check u?

  • For petes sake back in the days of real hockey they did'nt wear helmets pads gloves mouthpieces nutcups basicly you put on a jersey some shorts, socks and skates and your lumber. #1 KEEP YOUR HEAD UP #2 DON'T ADMIRE YOUR PASS this was a good defensive check. I agree whats next no checking no physical playing thats not hockey

  • Good Hit, Not any worse than the hit on Halpern.

  • That was obviously a late hit, Canuck fans are the worst fans out there they complain about everything. The reffing, the hits, missed calls and lot's more. They complained when Naslund was hit cleanly. When Mitchell hit Toews no Chicago fans complained about it. There also mad about losing 8-1 to the Bruins. The Canuck fans should complain about legit things like how there goalie cant make an easy save or cant complete a pass. The canucks are a good team but have bad confidence. GO BRUINS GO!!!!

  • @14Jerad This means nothing because it's coming from a Bruins fan. You're an idiot. I'm not even a Canucks fan, You're just ridiculous and narrow minded.

  • @wakeboy45 lol is leaving your feet during a checking and putting an elbow into a guys head narrow minded? Yeah maybe horton could have seen it comming but if i remember correctly leaving your feet during a check is illegal in nhl rules...

  • gmo1951 you could obviously watch the video a million times and see that he get nothing but his HEAD so don't post again ti u get ur bias ass opinion fixed

  • i can safely say the nhl doesnt care about your opinions they already made the decision

  • I think the NHL and the NFL are thinking alike. What's next, FLAG HOCKEY and FLAG FOOTBALL??????

  • I agree with you!!!

  • get off the ice if you cant take the heat , its play-offs bitch

  • I can see an interference penalty, but I've watched the video many, many times and it did look like a legal hit. There was no head hit, although it was close. But, all in all, Rome gave a late, but not a dirty hit. The concussion to me seemed to come when Rome's head hit the ice very hard. I've seen worse hits that weren't even called in the NHL. Of course, that is just my opinion. (And, I don't like Vancouver or Boston). I'm a Penguins Fan!

  • Rome blindsided Horton and there's no way people should be worked up that he got suspended. I'm a Canucks fan, through and through, but I support any decision to suspend a player based on a dirty hit. The integrity of the game diminishes when a guy like Horton can't play in the Stanley Cup because a guy like Rome hit him.

And, for the record, I'm saying this after the Bruins absolutely destroyed the Canucks.

    Go Canucks!

  • @rgreenbeege oh yeah? and what about chara destroying pacioretty?

  • Respond to this video... what about max pacioretty??

  • @SuperVancouverBC What about him? Do you mean do I think Chara should've been suspended? Of course! No matter where my loyalties lie an injury is an injury and as serious as Pacioretty's was, I'm surprised Chara's still on the ice.

I don't think big hits have anything to do with hockey and whenever there's one that knocks a guy down (unless clean and relatively harmless) than players should be suspended...not just but in the box.

  • @rgreenbeege then what about sidney crosby huh? the player who hit him didnt get suspended

  • @SuperVancouverBC I think you misunderstand me....all hits should result in suspension. The point I'm trying to make is that fans shouldn't be saying it was a bad call to suspend Rome; just take it as part of the game that he's "serving time" for what he did. Crosby's out and still not fully recovered and if there wasn't a hockey "double jeopardy" I'd say suspend all past hitters for the hits they've made. Regardless.

  • just goes to show how 17,000 people screaming in anger can influence a ref's decision making

  • i think the 5 min major and the rest of the game was enough bullshit to take away his stanley cup finals for a hit that wasnt even really dirty ther has been alot worse hits and goten away without a penalty its bs

  • horton had the puck when rome decided to hit him

  • like a split second sooner.... no penalty even.... so how can you make it 4 games

  • We were always taught that admiring a pass would result in getting creamed like Horton did. That was a clean hit, less than 1 second late. There would have been no call if he had got up.

  • 4 games is ridiculous, although it is the final why wasnt chara the giant suspended 4 based on max paciorettys injury?

  • 4 games is bull ... max paciorety should be pissed... chara got nothing ...BUUL @#$%. Mike murphy asked burke about what the ratio was for reg season suspension and stanley cup finals... they said 4 finals games was like 10-15 reg season or something (not sure bout those numbers but something like that). So how does chara get nothing for running patches into the stantion .... same 5 min major for interference .... WTF.

  • lol 4 game for Rome hahahah its a joke ..1 game suspension max..Chara hit on the habs player which he almost broke is neck was 10x worst!!! goes to show how NHL plays favorites

  • @iBoXe you're argument makes no sense. Do you honestly think that if the NHL played favorites that they would favor the Boston Bruins over the Canadiens? Get your head out of your ass. and i'm sure you're going to cite how Campbell's son is on the Bruins as part of your defense but correct me if i'm wrong when i say that Matt Cooke was never suspended for the Savard hit and Campbell basically called Savard a pussy. Yeah, the NHL loves Boston. No one loves Boston, i'm from there and i don't

  • @chris928901 Well like i said 9 out of 10 NHL players that got interview stated that this season call always favorite boston wich is crazy !! not my statement ( sedin, bertuzzi etc.. ) read next time anyhow habs and bos suck in my opinion not a fan of them at all .. Red winks all day

  • @toolbagcentral you are retarded

  • sorry hey555zeus your in the wrong this time, norton was badly hurt a little compassion might have been in order, cherry or no cherry it was uncalled for

  • @0007Billy Oh I agree, I feel terrible for Horton, and hope he recovers. Never want to see players (especially good ones, like him) seriously injured. But In Mike Murphy's address to the media, he himself said that the 4 game suspension was decided by the fact that there was an injury. So regardless of the hit, if a player is injured, the other team gets a suspension? And I'm willing to bet that the injury came mostly from him hitting the ice, not so much the hit itself.

  • @Hey55zeus Seriously?? So how did Horton "hit the ice"? Did he suddenly decide to go swimming and forgot it was frozen? Rome caused the injury by the cheap shot to his HEAD, forcing him to fall onto the ice head first. Thank goodness his neck didn't break, then the injuries could've been alot worse (paralysis or death). I don't care which team you like, that is uncalled for and dangerous. I'd say the same thing if it was a Canucks player head hunted by a Bruins player.

  • @UrlsGrrl54 i agree it was a cheap hit

  • @UrlsGrrl54 fuck bruins and are u fuckin retarded its fuckin hockey... very dangerous ur going to get hit HARD if ur not paying attention im happy he did that im acually not as happy that more damage wasnt done.

  • @motherhead123 Except that you're not allowed to hit the player if he hasn't recently had the puck, that's why shit like this happens.

  • @UrlsGrrl54 It was a bit late but it wasn't a head check or from behind. Horton needs to realize thats he's in a prime hitting zone and that even though he JUST got rid of the puck he still needs to keep his head up.

  • @UrlsGrrl54 if ur a bruins fan u prolly wouldent

  • I think it was the right call. It's just a shame it took until a Boston player was hurt for the league to wake up.

  • Fucking garbage call. Clean hit, 1/2 second after the pass, Don Cherry will tell you himself KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, especially at center ice. Bullshit.

  • @Hey55zeus The hit served no purpose. It was late, and you are taught to look where you pass. He did what anyone would do... Look at the player with the puck. His head was up. If that was you who got hit you'd be whining like a little bitch about a late call.
