Sure, I liked the first episode, but with each episode the narrative became way too contrived and too eager to draw out tears from the audience. Jintan and Menma cried like every single episode, but had little to none (in Menma's case) character development. The ending was rushed and the bitterness between Jintan and Yukiatsu was resolved way too easily.
I've liked animes just as much as Clannad, but Anohana does not even deserved to be mentioned in the same sentence as those. You're probably just another dumbass Otaku who watches Moe filled bullshit animes. If you think Anohana is fantastic then that just shows you have no taste.

For me, this one is after clannad, the best drama anime. Its has a lot of funny moments, especially Menma. Some sad moments are familiar to me, the death of the mother or the broken friendship with childhood friends. Sometimes a really awesome drama anime is simply fantastic
It may have a few plot holes and it may not be ground-breaking in the drama genre, but it is good enough to stir with one's emotions. It may not be the best... but it is better than all the stupid and generic ecchi/comedy/harem/romance anime out there.
I prefer seeing this anime gain the attention of the public eye than a tasteless and plotless ecchi anime.
Cut it some slack, nothing is perfect. It's a trial and error world.

For me, this one is after clannad, the best drama anime. Its has a lot of funny moments, especially Menma. Some sad moments are familiar to me, the death of the mother or the broken friendship with childhood friends. Sometimes a really awesome drama anime is simply fantastic

It may have a few plot holes and it may not be ground-breaking in the drama genre, but it is good enough to stir with one's emotions. It may not be the best... but it is better than all the stupid and generic ecchi/comedy/harem/romance anime out there.
I prefer seeing this anime gain the attention of the public eye than a tasteless and plotless ecchi anime.
Cut it some slack, nothing is perfect. It's a trial and error world.

sorry but you can't say their opinion is wrong just because you don't agree with them. Personally I like this one so much more because it isn't like Clannad where it is designed to make you cry. This one actually reminds me of my own childhood because I used to have brunch of fds playing pokemon together too. I never cried once for this show but the idea of old fds being together again is seriously touching to me, especially at my age where workplace society is just dark

@Wolfychanloli Agreed, Air FTW! It was the first Key anime I watched and the first with a sad ending which I just loved because it was so different from everything else.
AnoHana has it's flaws but it delivers on the dramatic and sad scenes especially when combo'ed with this song which is just beautiful.

This song is so beautiful , I almost cried...... my first impression of the anime was just another high school anime about how a boy and a girl falls in love in stuff.......It turned out I was wrong ............. this story is actually really sad and its worth watching !
