I love the nicer Evos. What's cool about them is that the body-shape is almost-identical to a Les Paul - The mahogany body and maple-top are the same thickness as they are on a LP, so acoustically, the tone is the same. Just put in a nice set of vintage PAF-type p/u's and replace the pots, and suddenly you have a guitar that sounds better than most modern, US-made Gibsons. Plus, the Evo's neck-joint allows for better sustain than the Gibsons. Dean used Honduras mahogany, which is better/lighter.
@gangtwanger Yeah, I also dig the look of the Evos:) Dean makes some really cool guitars. I don't got so much knowledge about setting up the guitar and changing pickups, but it would be nice to try out another set of pickups!
@strilaren - Changing pickups is not that difficult. The toughest part is the soldering, but even that's not a big deal as long as you're careful and follow the wiring instructions.
The biggest lesson I learned about guitar-maintenance is this: Keep the nut-slots clean. If there's too-much debris in the string-slots, it can totally-give your guitar major tuning issues, so keep those string-slots clean.
hey! nice job....and what make is that guitar?
